If you're looking for a mini F3A 3D airplane with great looks and performance, the Mini Saturn is just the plane for you! Constructed from light density EPO foam, this model is ultra-durable yet still lightweight.

The Mini Saturn features massive control surfaces and a large side profile making it ideal for both F3A and 3D flight. The pre-installed 2S brushless power system provides all of the power you need for pulling off extreme aerobatics, while still providing good flight times.

This model is built light. The factory has used a process to produce very light density EPO foam reducing the overall weight by about 30% when compared to standard EPO. They then reinforce the frame with carbon fiber. Because of this, the model flies light with low wing loading, yet still maintains the durability you expect from EPO foam.

This version of the Mini Saturn arrives in "Plug and Fly" form meaning that the servos, motor and ESC are all pre-installed. You will simply need to add your own 4CH radio system and 2S lipoly battery.

Features:
• Light density EPO foam construction (30% lighter than standard EPO)
• Powerful brushless 2S power system
• Large control surfaces ideal for aerobatic and 3D flight
• "Plug and Fly" version with motor, ESC and servos
• Easy to build

Crash resistant

Apr 13, 2018

I have put 20 flight's on the Mini Saturn & crashed it twice badly. It has survived both crashes very very well, no servos have jammed. The supplied servo's seem to do the job well, for now. Foam is crash resistant & glue's up well to. Awesome little pattern flyer. Very nimble & can handle the wind well, surprisingly considering no gyro. The rudder's pull pull cable (kevler) hasn't stretched much at all, adjusted after 10 flight's now it's not stretching anymore.

Good little pattern flyer.

Feb 18, 2018

I bought this to replace my eflight umx Beast & i'm glad i did. The build was straightforward & good instructions manual. The servos are not the best of quality but they do the job well, don't think they will handle bad crashes tho. Prop hanging requires a lot of stick work to keep it stable but that's the nature of the plane. It's a great pattern flying plane. Happy with the purchase.

2.5 gram servos

Mar 13, 2017

servo's are junk, jitter to much, will not center correctly. On the push they work good, on the pull they stutter and take to long to move to full position. all 3 act the same. no stickers to tell what servos these are. will need to purchase other servos elsewhere.

Nach dem Testflug

Nov 29, 2016

Volker

This is a cheaply designed plane. If you are new to the hobby be ready to make many repairs. Motor mounted with 4 ear tabs but nothing to back up the motor. Ears break easily. I had to create my own motor mount after several prop strikes. The aileron linkage is of very thin plastic mine broke. Had to cut a couple servo arms I had and cut/glue them into the aileron. Just know this, while the manual shows replacement parts, there are no replacement parts.

Easy and fun build. The plane flies nicely however you need to have good experience in flying, i.e. not for beginners. The landing gear is a bit too week and mine broke on the first hard landing.

The use of CF rods forming I section structures makes the model very strong and rigid as well as very light. The battery slot is designed for the Nanotech 300mAh battery. The hatch section receptacle base for the receiver has a U section which fits the curved section of HK's micro stabiliser receiver perfectly! My only real complaint about lack of thought or integration is the use of the Futaba connectors for the servo leads. These are far too lumpy for plane which uses micro everything. The said receiver uses micro JST 1.25mm 3-pin connectors. I'm in the throes of getting micro JSTs to replace the Futabas.
I like the moulded plastic nose cowling. The motor has a shaft which matches the GWS prop fastened with the spinner shaped nut. This creates a smart streamline shape!

Although I haven't flown mine yet I must say I really like the design of this model. The demo video by Michael Wargo shows the plane to be a very nice 3D model. It has picked up on many object lessons and much experience in retailing model aircraft by HK over the years. It gets lots of the bits and pieces together and integrates them in a way which bothered HK products many years ago when I started being a customer.
Others have criticised the quality of the servos which I guess I shall see. I have a couple of their Blue Arrow 2.8g servos spare to slot in. More in another posting...
