The Mini Sonic wing is a brilliant model offering both great looks and performance. Featuring ultra durable high-density EPO foam construction, a massive amount of wing area and a powerful MT1306 Outrunner motor pre-installed, the Mini Sonic is a real winner! From off power gliding to high speed aerobatics, this model handles it all with ease.

With its 3100KV brushless power system, the Mini Sonic is quite the speed demon. However, due to its lightweight design and large wing area, it's perfectly happy cruising around at low speed as well. The magnetic canopy hatch can be easily removed to access the battery compartment, which allows for perfect fit of a 2S 300-500mAh lipoly.

The Mini Sonic is a real blast to fly. Its small size, yet high performance nature makes it a model you'll want to bring to the field every time. We sure do!

Easy to build, great looks, stellar performance and top quality...the Mini Sonic ticks all of the right boxes!

ok

Got in Germany as an X-mas present and took it not assembled to my home in MX.
Added the Orange RX3SM and 2S 500 25C. Because the 500 accu needs upright position
I had to cut a little EPO out to get space for the RX3SM (only horizontal position possible).
Flying with 100% gyro leeds to wobbling @ full throttle @ roll axis, reduced gyro to 40%.
Speed and flighttime is ok, would think the 3S version should give a little more adrenalin.
The only thing that I'm a little disappointed is the durability of the servos. The built in HK-servos lost teeths @ or before third flight without any crash. Bounced it in earth, canopy broken and deformed EPO.

Very nice little plane. I am using it to go on vacation as it is very easy to carry after assembly. I am using it with 50pcnt expo and 65pcnt D/R, especially when the weather is a bit windy or when you use it for the first time. CG described in the user guide is good. I have inside a 370mah battery from Tunigy Orange Rx R615X. I can fly quietly more than 8 minutes. I have uploaded some pictures if you want to see how this fit. Next thing is to try a receiver with a flight stabilizer

I wasn't expecting much but this is quite simply stunning. Threw it up and smiles until I landed. Hold a bit of up in when you launch, there is quite a bit of down-thrust. I used FrSky D4R-II and the battery is T500.2S.20. Battery fits perfectly if you stand it upright in the middle of the compartment. Mount the Rx off to one side. No nose weight, flies perfectly. Very fast and quite good in the wind.

This is a great little plane. Plenty of power and very stable. I've set mine up as a mini fpv plane with an EagleTree Guardian stabilizer. I've never had much luck with other flying wings or delta wings. They'd fly but were kind of 'stally' around corners and not very much fun and didn't offer much confidence at high speed.

With the stabilizer in auto level mode, it feelslike a trainer at full speed even win 10-15mph gusts. Nice for FPV. Regular mode is great for LoS flying.

I'm not one for throttle management so I'm lucky to get 5 minutes on a 450 2 cell. I'm sure you can do better if you keep it around half throttle.

One star off on quality because out of the box, one of the servo wires was un-soldered on the servo. I had to pry it out of the wing, open the servo and resolder it.

I have nothing but good things to say about this wing. Ok, well I do wish it was just a little draggier, as I don't have a lot of landing space. This one just wants to glide forever.
Very fun to fly. Fast on 2s. I wouldn't recommend doing it, but I have a dozen flights in using a 3s 460mah, with a 4.5x4.5 prop!. This wing is wicked on 3s, FAST, loves the speed, and doesn't even know what G-force is. Capable of very precise, high speed flight.

Made the first flight today. It was fun to fly. Used the Zippy 350 2 cell battery. Flight time of 12 minutes at less than half throttle. Used the Orange 4 channel micro receiver with stabilization. Don't forget the JST to micro adapters. Flight was responsive and the micro wing was pretty fast. Not sorry I bought it. Fun flier that is worth the price.

I didn't think that this could be so nice.
It's very small = easy to transport, very light = very small (cheap) batteries, yet it is very precise and quick, very agile, not noisy. It can do loop inverted and flues inverted quite well. It's twitchy on hi rates / throws so you'd better use reduced throws / low RATES if you're not experienced. I would not recommend this as a first fullwing, maybe the Z-84 would be better: slower, more stable, more robust, body only kit available.

I use it with 300mAh for ~6 minutes and slower flights (in the very tip with velcro), 500mAh zippy compact with a little cut of the foam for ~8 minutes very fast and precise.
It's better to tape the canopy or add some bigger magnets, the noose is quite fragile if you think you gonna crash often.
