The HobbyKing® ™ Brushless Pitts Special is as exciting to look at as it is to fly!
It's scale details complete with wheel pants and Pitts livery make it a very attractive plane, however the excitement doesnt stop there! This little foamie is equipped with 4 ailerons to give spirited aerobatic performance and the included oversize outrunner and 10x4.7 prop gives more than enough power for all aerobatic flight, and when you feel the need to turn it up a notch just switch the 10x4.7 for a 11x4.7 propeller for hovering capability! All this and still this little foamie is very controllable at slow speeds. This plane loves a walking speed fly-by.
A combination of scale looks, excellent flight characteristics and great power plant make this fomie a real winner.
The Pitt's comes 97% pre-built and will take you around 10 minutes to attach the main wing and include your own receiver.Specs:

Best out of the box flyer around, top value for money, have now worn two out,
Landing gear wheels are too small for heavy grass, hand launch and belly landings are no problem,
-
Here's what I did
Hobbyking® DC-4S Balance Charger & Cell Checker
HobbyKing® ™ Pitts Special Plug-n-Fly (4 Aileron version)
Scorpion Brushless Motor Bearing Oil
Aircraft Navigation Lamp Set
Turnigy TGY-i6 AFHDS Transmitter and 6CH Receiver (Mode 2)
Turnigy 1300mAh 3S 30C Lipo Pack
That's everything you'd need
You can cheapen it down a little by getting an old hobby king remote and ditch lights and oil.
It cost: Aus $226 usd $169
I cant wait for its maiden flight will re-comment.

I think for the price this is an excellent airplane. So far it is a somewhat easy plane to fly. Home run for the 4 channel trainer skilled pilots to upgrade to.

This is a great plane. In the air, it looks and flies exactly like the real thing!
My first flights were from a hard runway, with a couple of fairly hard landings. Nothing was damaged.
Now I normally fly hand launch, in my field (no runway). Hand launch is dead easy. There's not much room to grip the fuselage, but just one finger and thumb, and a reasonable shove is sufficient. It gets away perfectly every time!
Great value! Thanks HK! -
This is such a great looking plane in the air and flies very well. As others have said, the suggested battery does not fit in the battery bay...unless you cut out the thin plastic at the front of the battery bay and a little foam for the wires and plug to fit through. The turnigy 1300 fits easy and the 1500 almost perfect as it is deeper. I`m not sure about how long the plastic struts will last (very cheap) but overall a great plane and i plan to fit the HK sound system next with a new battery box for a turnigy 2200. i want to buy another!

I bought 2 of this plane, but after receiving, there was no manual in both boxes.
1 ESC makes wild beepes, without knowing, what they mean.
The other ESC does not do his job at all, no power for RX. (new, but broken ?!)
A wing was brohen and scratched.
So, how should I be able to fly and imagine, even I bought 2 planes, and no combination of the boxes is allowing me to fly.... 2 planes on the ground - a superb job from Hobbyking. -
So far i bought about 7 planes from HK and i was always happy with the product.
This time i bought this Pitts and I'm absolutely disappointed with the quality of this particular plane. I have 40 EPO Airplanes and this one is definitive the worst quality i have ever seen so far.
When i installed the lower wing there was a 1/4" gap between the fuselage and the wing. Be ensured i checked several times ensuring that I did nothing wrong.
When i installed the upper wing i observe a similar thing. On one side of the two wing struts there I found again a big gap.
Aileron connection rod clips do not line up top to bottom wing. The steel wire to drive ailerons is installed with a sticky tape. I would be amazed if this will hold. By the way someone already described that this steel wire on the ailerons came loose during flight. -
This could be an excellent small Biplane. The quality of the basic construction is good but the decals fall off. I would recommend a light coat of min wax water based varnish to protect them. Change the prop to a 10X7 for a little more power which is needed on take offs.
The biggest problem is that there are no parts available for this plane if you need them.
It flies well, but keep the speed up. -
I bought this plane and had it on the shelf waiting to get built for a while. Build was easy and all supplied parts fit well. It looked great when done and was ready to get it in the air. Used the recommended battery that was fully charged. I had a long runway with plenty of distance. I rolled out at full throttle and some up elevator. She was slow to pick up speed, but I kept after it. After a long roll and more up elevator, it never left the ground before it hit the grass at the end of the runway and flipped. I tried a static run-up with a different battery with the same result. The plane would not support its own weight in the air. I am guessing I have a bad ESC since it seems to lack the described power.

Nice flyer, quick and easy build, shame about the decals falling off in your hand and the battery box is a pain.Good for beginner aerobatic trainer.
