The HobbyKing® ™ Sport Jet 70 is a superb performing EDF for sport aerobatic flying that is made from tough EPO and is easy and fast to assemble.

The specs on this great looking jet are impressive, the EDF unit is pre-installed as are all the quality servo's, assembly is basically bolt together with only 2 small parts to glue in place and of course you will need to add your own ESC. The fixed landing gear is very strong and of course optional, this means the Sport Jet 70 is suitable for any flying field.

Sport jet's are about performance and aerobatics and the HobbyKing® ™ Sport Jet does not disappoint, there is plenty of thrust from the fan unit for big loops and precise control for those jet aerobatics, knife edge, 4 point rolls and so on are all in easy reach with this great performing model. This jet performs so well and so predictably that we would reccomend it as a first jet for the intermediate pilot, it has all the right qualities for a fast, fun day at the airfield, just don't forget to pack plenty of lipoly's in your flight box, you will need them!

Specs:
Wingspan: 920mm

This is my first EDF. Fit and finish is great. Well packaged. Did my maiden flight last week using a 4S 2200Mah 90c and found it tail heavy based on the recommended CG. Added some weight to the nose. Note: there is a hollow compartment in the nose to load with lead. My buddy did a shallow hand launch and the jet simply ran out of altitude before hitting the tall grass...no damage. Second launch had a better angle to it (30deg) and she took off absolutely beautifully and flew straight as an arrow. With the supplied EDF she is borderline power and by that I mean she runs out of poop during a climb or won't complete a loop without struggling. Do a shallow dive then perform a loop and there's no issue. I am really happy with this Sportjet and would recommend as a starter EDF. Really good bang for the buck and having a blast with the plane. Thanks HK!!

Absolutely fantastic plane, top quality EPO foam, goes together in minutes.
Perfect 70mm edf jet if you like to modify things to take more powerful setups, I've modified mine for bungee launch and I fly mine on 6s using HK's new Turnigy G2 3200 battery, 125amp red brick and a 14 blade edf unit.
Pleased with my purchase

The jet is amazing on 6s. I might even be the first to run 6s. Inverted it is rock solid, the noise is amazing, the looks are how a jet should look. You can put it in the boot of your car and fly at any park, landing are a sinch. The jet loves low speed as well as high. This jet is a rare gem. I hope my info can help you guys who already own one and want to screammm past the 90mm rockets, mine does, even on 25~50c. For anybody interested, I run my sportjet on a 6s setup, 900w edf and nano-tech 6s 3000 with 1 mod for air intake, no mods for the battery tray. Check out the mods and pics of jet on rc group forums. If link doesn't work, google Sport Jet 70 EDF 5S HK

Could not ask for a nicer plane in this category for the money. It is the best most reliable and easiest to fly/ maintain EDF plane I have ever had, regardless of cost..

what a marvelously flying airplane this is. Flies like a jet lands like a glider. Has lots of power (contrary to some of the reviews I have seen ) Here is my set up. Aircraft is flown stock, no modification. lipo nano tech 4s 35 -70c , speed control HK-50 amp . Weight with battery 39 ounces. static trust 32 ounces. Current draw at full speed 47amps. I charge it at 5 amps in 30 minutes. High performance flight (vertical and giant loops at full power) 3 minutes. Touch and go practice flights 5 minutes.
Take offs easily from grass and asphalt . Has no bad tendencies (no tip stall or anything like that. ) Very easy to put together. Very well made (you can see the mfg has really perfected this plane. ) Sensitive on the ailerons (fast roll rate ) I use 80pcnt expo on aileron 50 pcnt on elevator. )Need a little up elevator to fly level.

I have flown gaz ducted fans fighter jets for many years. They are always nerve racking to fly because of their nasty flight characteristics , heavy, tip stalling and easily get flight disoriented because of their short stubby wings. Not so, with this little jet, you can really relax and enjoy flying this jet ,especially the landings. Perfect jet as a first ducted fan, not too small and not too big. Very economica.l does not require expensive battery or charger. Has wheels. 70 mm fan is perfect size, If you only buy 1
ducted fan, buy this one. The onl

Extremely nice model considering the price.Goes together very quickly, everything fits nicely, and it flies superbly.Used a HK 60Amp ESC,and a Zippy Flightmax 2650MaH 40C 4s pack. You can use a 3000MaH 40C if needed/wanted,although battery bay a little cramped with the bigger battery.U/C very good (I fly on asphalt).Keep the rates low (on aileron especially) until you are used to it.The rate of roll is "Very Good" :-).EDF unit fitted is very smooth indeed. All in all a great value for money model, especially considering the cost of certain Multiplex offerings...

This is my second EDF (the first being the HK Vampire). Everything arrived in good condition except that the decorative stickers were peeling off already. I helped them on their way into the bin. Plane went together well. My tired old eyes need help these days so out came the spray can of Fluro Pink for the undersides. The upper surfaces were also spray painted in a sort of free hand camo pattern. I used a Turnigy Trust 65A and a 2800 4S. I set it up with plenty of elevator and rudder but very low aileron rates. First flight was a bit hairy but after fighting to trim it, my trims gradually returned to almost neutral. I now have over a dozen flights up and I love it. It tracks dead straight on the ground run, lifts off nicely and flies very well but not overly fast. Landings are interesting with plenty of Kangaroo hops but I am getting better. Overall, just love this plane.

Very easy to build! Mostly screws needed and a only one component needing glue. Sturdy construction. Proper hinges and battery bay door latches are a nice touch. Good work Hobby King!
