    Product Description

    Land yachting combines the grace of sailing with the thrill of motor racing. It's great to watch your land yacht skimming across smooth hard sand or a large tarmac area at high speed and with no noise just using the wind.

     

    Full-size land yachts hold speed records of over 126mph sailing at 3-4 times faster than the wind that propels them and now you too can enjoy the challenge and thrills of land yachting with the HobbyKing Bat 1 RC land yacht.

     

    The Bat 1 has been designed by a renowned RC and full-size land yacht pilot and it is available in 3 versions, "Almost Ready to Run", "plug & play" and in "Kit" form. All versions have a simple, rugged construction and are very straightforward to assemble. The Bat 1 utilizes just 2 channels, one for steering and one for controlling the sail, it also has low friction ballraced wheels for super smooth free-running and a colorful eye-catching sail finishes the Bat 1 off nicely.

    The Bat 1 (Kit) requires servos, receiver, transmitter and some AA batteries. There is a small amount of assembly required, the hull is supplied in 2 pieces to make installation of the servo's straightforward, this in then held together using the screws supplied. After that, he rest of the assembly is very easy and does not take long.

    Trs simple prparer, le mt se dmonte trs facilement pour les transports en voiture.

    This thing is a blast to run. It went together very easy. The only modification I made was to add a "goosneck" to connect the boom to the mast...I used Velcro and it works very well. Without the goosneck the boom allowed too much wind to spill from the sail. See my video.

    Simple, robuste, dmontable sans outils, donc facile emporter et utiliser partout...

    Une conception sans reproches.....Juste un tout petit quand mme, l'interrupteur aurait pu tre plac un peu plus en arrire, il butte contre le pack d'accus ou contre le rcepteur lorsqu'on referme la partie suprieure du "fuselage".

    Reu 4 jours aprs la commande, 1h de montage (version Kit, j'avais dj une radio volant en 27mhz AM, 2 servos std futaba s3001 et un pack d'accu NiCd 4 lments la place du porte-piles livr).
    Essay le soir mme sur la piste de mon club d'aro ....
    Un second en version ARR est dj en commande pour se tirer des bords avec un copain....!!!

    Fantastic bit of kit....easy to 'sail ' once set up....hope there are spares, though, had about 4 outings on tarmac surface, the 2 rear wheels showing signs of wear already....perhaps best to use on short grass or something more forgiving.
