The Hobbyking Brushless series use low drain brushless motors for extended motor life and therefore reliability, HV operating voltages also mean this servo can operate directly from a 2s Lipoly Battery, eliminating the need for voltage reduction devices like UBECs and Regulators.

Sorry Hobbyking there is way to much backlash in the gears on the ones I Purchased and when you move the servo arm within the backlash the servo motor does not even try to compensate maybe the deadband has been opened to compensate for poor quality gearing clearances! Was going to replace my Turnigy 1266Hv's in my Trex 700 with these but in comparison these have superior gear tolerances and nearly zero play in them and hold really well. Its pointless having the reliabilty of brushless motor if its let down by the drive train to the servo output arm!

I ordered 3 of these based upon the great reviews, and this is what I got:

1 - DOA
1 - major gear slop
1 - OK

I needed 3 for my heli so I had to return all 3 even though one was good. Based on my experience I will not buy these again. They looked promising but with 2 out of 3 being bad I cannot recommend. Maybe it is just my bad luck but I am done.

I am starting with a 5 star rating. I have setup 3 of them on the tail of my edge540. The resolution and centering is perfect, speed is great and current draw isn't a concern coming direct from a lipo.
The included arms are a very tight fit which makes for no play I the linkage and control surface. The arms are a little flimsy compared to others, but I trust they are as strong as the servo.
At centre they all are quiet, and no whining from the servo. And into motion or transition they make your standard digital sound and gears sound smooth.

The case feels like quality with a solid feel and gear looks to be titanium as advertised and not copper or brass.

I have not flown yet, waiting for two more for my ailerons. Also have done most setup and testing with 6v, which would provide good enough performance for most setups. But have run direct from a lipo too. I plan to report back with more info and results!
