Very good quad. Received in 8 days from EU Warehouse to Italy. Very stable and fast (with 6040 props) during flight thanks to the good CC3D setup. Only the frame legs are too fragile, I have broken one during the first flight and I immediately removed all of them. But generally I am completely satisfied of this quad. 100pcnt recommended.

This is my first serious quad kit (by this I mean not a pre-built £20 "toy" quad). and I have to say I am very impressed, I was sceptical of what I was getting for the money and convinced that there was a hidden gotcha coming my way.

So far though no gotcha, its just a fantastic starter kit for the money. I put an additional set of batteries with it when ordering and a week later bought a quanum FPV setup and now i'm hooked.

Well worth the money but I would also recommend getting a battery alarm as the small batteries on the quad only give aound 5 - 8 mins of flight time. and the last thing you want is to have it fall out of the sky.

what would I also suggest buying with it?

buy extra Props you will break them as you crash.
buy extra legs for the quad I snapped all mine on the first flight.
buy two extra batteries for extra flying.

Great product! Just wish their were spare parts, i.e. frame, extension kit, legs, flight controller mount, etc.

I caught this one on sale, but even at the regular price it seems like a killer value. The value of having a case that everything fits in can't be overstated. It's so convenient to have it all in one place, and protected so you can just throw it in the car (too bad FPV stuff needs it's own case). The transmitter is a pretty nice unit for an RTR, and if I didn't already have a 9X, I would definitely consider using the included transmitter for all my other stuff. I only have 2 complaints: First, the COMPLETE lack of instructions regarding the quad itself. You get a little booklet about the transmitter, but NOTHING about arming or flying the quad. As an experienced multiwii flier, I picked it up quick, but a newb is going to be frustrated. 2nd complaint, I don't believe mine was even setup correctly out of the box. It flew fine, but the flight mode switch didn't seem to do anything at all. It flew the same in all modes. I later found that all 3 switch positions used the same profile. Still, this is a nice entry level quad at a good price. I'd recommend it to a friend, for sure.

I love this thing. Being a beginner I love that I can add to or swop out any part I want to experiment and learn. I already tried 3 leaf props and found the regular props work better for me. I have gone through 16 props and had to order more. It is very durable and takes a lot of abuse. I did turn the motors so the wires aren't hanging out the front. It's perfect for learning. When I get bored with my Phantom 3 I take this out for fun. I already installed the fpv system and even have Goggles but I want to get better at flying before I try them out.

perfect first racer this thing will rip the sky up. not my first quad but by far my new favorite. all the power I need to handle Oklahoma winds. plus tough enough to tumble across the ground a dozen times. gone through a dozen set of blades and except for losing landing gear I have no damage. I installed the quanum complete fpv kit still trying to learn how to fly fpv. will suggest this model to all my costumers.

the worst product i have ever bought from hobbyking. The product video claims that they are all test flown, but i received mine with a faulty esc. hobbyking then proceeded to make me jump through hoops, uploading videos to youtube to show them that their "test flown" product was indeed faulty. they eventually sent me 4 new esc's but not one of them had a bec circuit on them to power the cc3d or receiver so i had to purchase my own. then upon first hovering the thing it hovered fine for about thirty seconds and then one motor stopped and it flipped over and crashed. one of the wires for the motors had come unsoldered from the inside of the motor, and now they refuse to warranty the motor saying that i caused the crash, but really it was another faulty hobbyking product.

This is my first quadcopter. For the price it is ok. Not high end motors but works pretty well. For a total beginner it can be too much powerfull. It is quite stable."feet" are fragile. I don't regret to have bought it.

Very cheap and flimsy plastic. The frame kit to this exact drone is around $22 with out the electronics. The tx/rx combo is pretty nice though. Great range. I still need to update my firmware with the 3 trace banks I keep reading about. So all-in-all its a fun little quad but it WILL break when you come down to fast or crash in the grass. A gust of wind had its way with mine about 30 minutes into my first 2 flights and it hit a small tree and cracked a motor mount. I ordered 2 extra arm kits (HobbyKing FPV260 Up-Swept Mini Quad Copter (KIT)) and I recommend you do the same. I also ordered 8 packs of props at $1 a set, and 2 extra lipos at $10 each. With the extra parts its a lot of fun. But besides the low quality of the flimsy materials used, I gave it only 3 stars because I'm a long time hobbyking customer and the price dropped the day after I bought it and they wouldn't credit my account.
