Hobbywing have pulled out all the stops in developing this state of the art controller which is truly deserving of its "Platinum" status.

Packed full of features that will be appreciated by the serious heli-pilot, the Hobbywing Platinum HV 160A V4 ESC uses the best components and latest technology to deliver what builders/pilots of 700-800 size heli models need, rock solid and reliable performance!

The cases are machined aluminum with each cooling slot and fin carefully designed to act as a heat sink. The sandwich stacking structure then allows the components on both sides of the printed circuit boards to conduct heat to the aluminum case. 

A high performance 32 bit processor combined with an advanced logarithm provides excellent throttle speed governing for different conditions and the throttle sensitivity setting is adjustable.

The Platinum HV 160A provides a super soft start-up to assist in avoiding tail-drift issues and start-up time is also adjustable from within 8 - 25 seconds.

The built in switch mode BEC with continuously adjustable output voltage range from 5V to 8V always provides the power you need for rapid and precise servo operation.   

Multiple protections such as thermal shutdown, overload protection and over-current protection are included as is anti-spark circuitry (when the ESC is powered up).

Data logging for RPM, voltage, maximum current and maximum temperatures is also available as is the "restart in auto-rotation" mode to assist in avoiding a crash caused by incorrect operations.

While designed primarily for Helis, thanks to selectable flight modes, the Platinum HV 160A controller can also be used for fixed wing aircraft.
