Binding Voltage

Jul 01, 2018

Folks, I bought 6 of these receivers. Non wanted to bind with my FRSKY TARANIS XD9PLUS radio. I was initially using a Life 6.6volt battery. I then tried a single cell life battery with reading -3.6volts. All the Receivers then binded flawlessly with the transmitter.
If you having problems binding the receiver to your TX. try using a lower voltage.
After binding using the 3.6 volt battery it work fine. when i changed the battery to the 6.6 volts battery the indicator light started flashing. i have yet to flight test these receivers on my foamies

To bind with a DHT module in a 9X transmitter set the DHT switch to 2 Way. (Normal is 1 Way)

Works fine <300m, but starts to glitch at longer distances.
Very small and cheap, though i wont trust using in my DLG.

Compre dos de estos receptores, uno trabaja excelente sin embargo el otro no activa el motor, los demas canales treabajan bien, creo que deberian mejorar el control de calidad y entregar a los clientes productos comprobados.

I mostly build robots and rover-like vehicles. I usually connect my receivers to an Arduino and read CPPM. I've been using FrSky receivers (usually the D4R-II with the 27ms firmware), but I figured I'd give this cheaper knockoff a try. Within minutes I had this binded to my radio and sending 8 channels of CPPM into my Arduino code. I set the framerate to 21ms in my code. I'm not sure how the failsafe can be configured, but I easily have my code detecting signal loss by watching for the specific values that appear when the radio is off (all channels 127 except for throttle=0). I haven't tested the range yet. Assuming the range isn't terrible, this is going to save me a good $10/robot.

My god, this thing is TINY.
No, really... It's TINY.
It has very good range. I tested it out to almost 750M before I gave up out of boredom. It binds easily to my th9x w/ DJT module. It binds easily to my Taranis x9d . It cleanly puts out 8ch of PPM with ZERO fuss. A , I will be buying more of these in the near future.

PS: I hope HobbyKing doesn't discontinue these any time soon.
