A result of 3 years in research and development these Taiwanese manufactured 64mm EDF units are on the cutting edge of EDF design.

The duct unit is made from aircraft grade high tensile Aluminum alloy to improve performance and help reduce deformity of the duct during installation. The 8 fan blade is the first in the world to use high tensile aluminum alloy, A result of 18 months of wind-tunnel tests and Computer Aided Evaluation. The fan unit reduces high speed deformation by 90%, compared to a conventional ABS or plastic fan.

All Moto-turbine parts are manufactured using precision CNC machine tools in Taiwan. CNC machining enables a high level of acuaracy in the manufacturing proccess and ensures strict tolerances can be maintained. Each fan is also factory dynamically balanced.

In conventional ducted fan design, the motor is secured to the stator hub while the fan secured to the motor shaft.  During operation, any imperfection in either the motor or fan will cause both the fan and motor to vibrate at a certain resonance frequency.  The oscillation can cause the blade tip to rub against the shroud of the duct.  Moto-turbine’s 3-bearing system reduces resonance vibration by 90%.

Beautifully engineered and built. Sounds very quite compared to plastic edf. Put this into my Rafael with very little adjustment required. A pity to hide such a lovely engine. Thrust is fantastic on a 4C, sounds just like a jet should, ie. Not screaming! Recommend this unit, cost a but more, but you get what you pay for! I want to put this unit into a see through plane! (Wonderwoman`s jet? Was that a Panther?) May need some clear plastic panels on my Rafaele. Saving up to buy another one of these.

I received this fan today at 1230 and had it in the air by 1600. It replaced the set up in my foamy Viper Jet which was a HET 2W20 and HET 4 blade fan. The principal difference is the sound as the thrust is about the same. It makes less than half the noise and what little it does is very realistic though not quite as nice as the 90mm variant. It is balanced to perfection and is a very high quality product. The quoted figures are realistic on the bench but there are usually losses involved when installed in a model. I love these EPF mercury alloy fans. For me they have transformed EDF flying. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Great product and amazing price.

I started with the earlier Red model in a plan built model and now I have this one in the HK Vampire on 4 cells and it is amazing. Sounds like a real jet not a screaming toy. Highly recommended.

Smooth and powerful. Enough thrust to even launch a 70 mm EDF. Just thicken the shroud with foamy tape.

I purchased 3 of these fans and in general I think they are a great product. However, be warned, the 3700 kv motor won't take 5S!!! Flew this in an Airfield A-4 on 4S with no problems after six 4 minute flights. Second flight on 5S and poof a trail of smoke and the motor was literally toast. If not for the issue on 5s I would have rated this product a 5 crown.

Power, raw power!
I installed this jewel on the T-45 Hawk (T-45Kit) and it's amazing!
With 4s 2200 I can make 3 minutes with 3 high speed passes and touch'n gos.
The power is there when you need it.
Very nice unit.

I just recieved mine today.

I have plugged in the Turnigy watt metre and got the following readings so far.

3s 2200mah 40c - 36A at 424 watts

4s 3000mah 20c - 57A at 928 watts

It has no vibrations and has a nice sound too it, obviously well balanced.

This will be going in my T-45 Goshawk.

5/5

It's impressive the finishing of this electric fan. Its look makes you think that it's a microturbine. When you're flying it, it seems to be the sound a jet. It is awesome! It was worth every penny, I had never seen something so amazing.
