i used this motor to replace my defective stock motor, i just pulled out the stock motor remove the gear and installed into the shaft of this gps 6..and it works fine..thanks HK..Muito bom para micro modelosBrushed motor a little noisy when not loaded with a prop... Hard to mount that was my only problem... Needed to glue using epoxy to a thin carbon rod. Then was aight.... 4 stars cuz of the extra work :)I bought it in order to repair the tail rotor form a heli toy and I was not even sure it would fit and work fine with the toy. I only used the motor not the gear box. It fits fine and works even better than the original one.
Better than my expectations.
these gearboxes with an attached GWS4025 weigh about 3 grams. when static tested, in a single cell lipo, at a voltage you would find in flight (some where from 3.9 - 4.2) they put out between 16-18 grams of thrust drawing 600mah or so. remember to oil the bushings and don't use heavy grease (like axle grease).
when turning a GWS 3020 they putout in the area of 12 grams of thrust. i cant remember the draw or exact figures, it was a long time ago.
i give these 5 stars, because, while not the best of tech, they work very good, and pretty reliable (never had one fail on me yet, i have had AA pagers fry on me), and for the price, can't be beat.
just remember what you are buying, yesterdays tech, shrunk down and micro sized. it will never out perform a BL setup, but at tiny sizes, will probly do as good for less money. and you can parallel them with no problem.
I purchased 3 of these, and 2 of them seem to be locked up, i can not turn them by hand, and I dont know if i want to supply voltage to them, and have them fry because of the lock up! has anyone experienced this? I am not experienced enough to take these little guys apart, nor adjust the clearance,, and of course, it would cost more to send them back than buy new ones.. I wonder if we can just put this stuff aside until we have enough parts that dont work to warrant shipping them back, dont know if they would allow this.
Klasse Ersatzmotor fr die Minium Seriei have been using these for a while now. i get 16 grams of thrust (static) on 1S operation on GWS 4025s. draw 610mah. not sure about the voltage. the gear box is adquate, but now great. bushing are bad, but the motors seem to last a fair time, (i have not had one burn out on me yet, i got 6) theses are NOT didel 4.5 ohm motors.
i run these on twin engine micros, they work great. for the price, these are a great value! there are better gearboxes, but these will get you flying fast and cheap.
bottom line: dont' expect 30 grams of thrust and draw 300 mah and last forever,
expect 18 grams on a good day, high amp draw and a shorter life, and more maitnenece (oiling bushings) and expect to not pay much.This small motor is very vulnerable to damages, specially the pin which has attached to the outer gear. But the 2 wires attached the motor is very strong.. It's good if you order more than 3 for experimental purposes.usei para recuperar um twing, e deu cero focou perfeito
