The Mig 15 was a shock to NATO pilots when first encountered due to it's advanced swept wing design, heavy armament and truly class leading performance. The Soviets had been engaged in advanced swept wing aerodynamic design since the 1930's and the Mig 15 used minimal captured German technology. The engine was a reverse engineered Rolls Royce Nene, which the UK government, for reasons still unclear, gave to the Soviets as a gift! The end result was the most widely produced jet fighter ever built, not to mention one of the most succesful, seeing service with and being produced by Eastern Bloc countries, as well as seeing service in Asia, truly a Cold War Classic.

The fuselage is of a glassfibre construction, the wings are balsa sheeted/foam core. The paint finish, covering and pre-applied decals just ooze quality. A 90mm Fan unit, fixed under-carriage and all hardware is included, electric or air retracts can be fitted if desired (sold seperately), your power train choice will want to be 6s~8s to get the best out of this amazing jet.

Der Bausatz ist wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet.
Auch die Passgenauigkeit der Teile ist perfekt.
Preisleistung wieder mal unschlagbar.Maiden flight today with kolibri t20 turbine in the rear compartment 200grams lead in the nose dry weight 3.2kg take off weight 3.8kg. Long run on grass took off beautifull no trim needed except a little up trim. throws were 12mm elevator but going to increase to 15mm ailerons 10mm was sweet. Kit was easy to build good quality flies better than my habu 32 with p20. Cg was centre of bump on the bottom of fuz. I replaced all hardware linkages. retracts were the metal trunion ones 44x41 fit straight in except i changed the nose to push pull. servos all hitec 65hb x 7. flaps work well with no change in attitude.Hallo zusammen.
Ich wollte das Modell mit einem Impeller von WeMoTec, Midi Fan pro Impeller / Tenshock EZ 22-30-10T, mit 6s-Lipo, betreiben.
Eine Standschubmessung nach dem Einbau ergab 1,6kg. Bei dem Modellgewicht
von annhernd 3 kg, doch etwas knapp bemessen.
Das Fahrwerk habe ich aus gewichtsgrnden weggelassen.
Positives zu diesem Modell
- Rumpf und Flchen sehr gut verarbeitet
- Es gibt keine Anleitung, den Schwerpunkt zu finden, war sehr aufwendig
- In die Seitenruderflosse sollen die Servos fr Hhen- und Seitenruder
eingebaut werden. Zwei Servos kommen auf die gleiche Hhe nebeneinander
Da der Rumpf an dieservStelle nur ca. 10 mm breit ist, wrde da nur Slowflyer
Servos bleiben. Fr so ein Modell doch etwas fragwrdig. Ich habe die Servos
nach vorne ber den Ansaugschacht montiert und das Seitenruder nicht angelengt.
- Fr einen 6s 4500mAh Akku ist kaum Platz
- Um den Schwerpunkt einzuhalten msste ich noch ca. 300gr Blei irgendwie
in die Nase des Modelles bringen, an diesem Punkt habe ich das Projekt
gestoppt und werde wohl dem Impeller weiter noch vorne montieren mssen.
Fazit: Ein wunderschnes Modell mit gravierenden Mngeln.
Love the plane but it came with shipping damaged canopy and couldn't get a replacement from HK. I opened a case and sent photos right at the point of opening box. They told me they would get a new canopy from the manufacturer but it never showed up. Eventually they just closed my case and nothing was done. The low rating is for HK for poor product support and the manufacturer for not packaging the plane to prevent damage in the first place.Out of all the 90mm Comp Jets to come out of HK.. I would say that this is the best flyer. This plane is very Fast and also flys very slow. Though you might have to be a little creative as to where to place the batteries depending on what size you go with.. it is a work horse. It can be loaded down with heavy batteries and it doent even know there there! The HK 90mm Viper Jet is a very close second place.I was more impressed with this kit then I expected. Better then any HET kit I ever owned. 2 issues I had...intructions were almost worthless, and I also bought batteries at the same time. Well they packed them in the same box, got loose and pretty much destryed my canopy, have yet to see if HK will honor this problem. Never order anything else when you order an airplane!!Sorry, I posted this review on the wrong plane. I intended this review for the 70mm EPO version.
RJThis is an excellent flying airframe. I upgraded the fan/motor (3700kv) and ESC and she flew with great authority and speed. Still kept the 4 cell battery (3300mah Turnigy) and she had plenty of power and maneuverability. It is a pleasure to fly.
