Following on from the success of the highly regarded MLD-35 single cylinder gas engine, the MLD-70 was developed from the same extensive research by the designer and, like it's stablemate has well-deserved reputation as an easy starting, powerful and good running engine.
Providing an impressive 6.6BHP, the MLD-70 demonstrates the smooth running characteristics common to horizontally opposed or "boxer" type engines, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications from scale to 3D style models with equally pleasing results.
The engine features one piece cylinder head and piston sleeve assemblies, eliminating head gasket problems whilst adding to its overall robust qualities. Another significant contribution to the reliability and ease of use of the MLD-70 is the ubiquitous Walbro carburetor that provides trouble-free fuel metering to the engine throughout the operating range.
Designed to swing propellers in the 22~24" range the MLD-70 offers reliable, uncomplicated and consistent performance at an affordable price.
