The all new OrangeRX Open LRS TX Module is an open source transmitter module that can be programmed to use your choice of protocol and any channel in the 400~460MHz range. It is a fully user-customizable RF transmitter system. It can even be programmed to utilize extra features such as telemetry when used with the OrangeRX OpenLRS Rx module.
 
The OrangeRX Open LRS TX Module a very versatile unit perfect for your custom projects. 
It utilizes a 100mW RF unit and Atmega328 processor with Arduino Bootloader allowing you to upload pre-written codes or write your own to suit your transmitter needs. 
 
The default code utilizes 3 channel frequency hopping. If you would like to use a different protocol, you can write your own hopping codes or simply download one of the many pre-written OpenLRS code sets already available.

• Serial Port for firmware upload and telemetry application
• I2C port for sensor applications (Wii Motion Plus based Headtracker)
• 16Mhz Atmega328 processor with Arduino Pro Mini compatible bootloader.
• LM2937 3.3v voltage regulator
• U.F.L connector between PCB and antenna
• Buzzer for audible information 
• 100mW output, frequency hopping capability and hundreds of features

Nice case but cracks around mounting screws under lid. Perfect fit to Futaba FF9. Antena cable issues as before commented. Well working electronics especially with OpenLRSng. Low price perfect pieces for DYI TX / RX links with ULRS support !

great designer for homemade lRC. Antennas should be thrown out and normal dipoles made. solder a few wires to the board and get a receiver. In total, 10 km per 100mW of communications for management. And all this Rx+Tx cost 10 US dollars.

Received mine today, flashed it (and an old Rx) with the chrome LRS configurator via an FTDI and flew it this afternoon. Recommended for those who can flash via an FTDI. Just saw the pigtail issue now, but mine seems to be OK (for now...)

BEWARE THAT MANY HAVE BROKEN COAX BRAID AT THE RP-SMA CONNECTOR!

Repair or replace the pigtail BEFORE powering on or attempting to program it!
Buy them if you can use a soldering iron and understand some medium-basic programming and electronics. You'll never going to get the features these modules offer for 9 euros EVER!

Hi have a few of these. use them as receivers on all my aircraft. for the price and am super happy and i have long range LRS, for less then the cost of 2.4ghz receivers supporting RSSI/telemetry/PWM.. I cut the buzzer/button/pins off to have a super light receiver with some heat-shrink..
I also converted one of these to working in a futaba radio as TX, very easy mode if you have a spare futuba module housing..
