The Durafly SlowPoke is an EPO foam model of the classic design. Adding to the easy flying design of the SlowPoke, Durafly has added some larger wheels to make it even easier to take off and land on a wide variety of fields. A great plane for your first low wing tail dragger or for the discerning experienced pilot wanting a great looking, easy flying plane.

The large wing makes for easy flying right down to walking pace landings. The power plant (3648 700KV motor and 40A ESC) provides all the power you need. All the 9g servos are all pre-fitted for ease of building. The ball links on the control surfaces make for smooth and precise control for the best realistic flights.

Like all Durafly planes, building takes next to no time. The extra smooth EPO foam provides an outstanding look and when you include the rigging wires, dummy plastic motor, cockpit detail, and pilot they provide that extra realistic look. The SlowPoke is a plane you can’t walk past without turning your head.

So be the first at your field to enjoy flying the Durafly SlowPoke.

Fun Flyer!

Nov 16, 2021

This is a nice simple plane that flies very good. A little goofy in terms of handling a low speed...tends to porpoise a little bit, but overall not a big deal and its fun more than makes up for any downsides. Very quick and simple assembly. Great value. I would buy another if I ever crash this one.

Fantastic plane

Nov 05, 2021

This plane has exceeded my expectations. I've been flying it for a month in really gusty conditions and still enjoying it. Just loosen the tension of the bracing wires connecting the wings to the fuselage. I noticed that the fuselage sides were getting pulled apart widening the opening to the radio gear. You can tell because the sides are no longer aligned to the access cover/cockpit.

Funnest Plane In Years

Nov 04, 2021

Extremely predictable, tracks straight, easy handling, but does everything. Was able to hold knife easily on the first flight. Roll rate is pretty good for such a slow flyer, harriers fine. Can hold a hover for a bit 3S. Excellent inverted, and fairly flat rudder turns. It takes everything you can throw at it and looks goofy doing it. What more could you ask for? Well, okay, the pilot looks like a dope. But he flies well! And landings are so easy you don't even really have to do anything but fine adjustments to the elevator. Takes off in very little space.

Great flying airplane!

Nov 04, 2021

I took this plane out for its maiden flight today and it only needed about 6 clicks of down elevator and 3 clicks of right aileron and it flew perfectly straight with the CG at 85mm. I was also impressed by how slow it really can fly, and takeoffs and landings off of grass were a cinch. I put all metal geared servos in, and upgraded to a 60A ESC and used a 2300mah 4S Lipo and I flew under mid to heavy throttle for 5 minutes and the battery pack was still at 75% charge! I love this plane!!

Good Fun flyer

Oct 20, 2021

Finally got around to flying the Slow Poke today and was suitably impressed. Had a problem with the wheels and ended up fitting Carbon Fibre inserts to act as wheel bearings & stop the wheels sliding up the landing gear. 10 Minutes flight time on 2200mAh 3S 50C Rhino battery. Easy Takeoff & land, flies nice & slow.

Great plane but as always let down by lack of parts

Aug 27, 2021

This plane just looks fantastic and flies really well (though you need to bring it in under power to land!). Like all Hobbyking planes though its the lack of parts that just drives you nuts. No landing gear parts at all except rear wheel - and you will need landing parts, props permanently out of stock, etc etc. It really does put you off as means either you have to become MacGyver and make them or your plane is down for ages. Come on Hobby king be more like arrows and the others and get your parts up to standard then lots of your planes would be belters.
