Update

Aug 14, 2019

After almost going through 1 roll of this filament i have tuned my settings to now 295c/140c first layer , 275c/135c for the rest . 295c works ok but better quality with 275c print temp , layer adhesion still very strong. Retraction 1 - 2mm and print slow , i print from 20mm/s to 40mm/s max , first layer 15mm/s.
I like the filament even more now , very impressive strength and color.

Awesome Filament

Aug 04, 2019

I print at 300c nozzle , 140 bed for the first layer , 295c and 135c for the rest of the print , enclosed chamber keeping ambient between 60 - 70c
Excellent color and strength , beautiful filament.
Definitely need ventilation as it has a very strong odor
I had a lot of trouble trying to get PC to stick to glass using the sprays and glue sticks until i found Dimafix. Best stuff ever , every print i have done with PC and Dimafix has stuck to the bed perfectly , not one failed print due to bed adhesion , longest print so far 7 hours and it came out perfect , once cooled the parts just lift off like you had just placed it there.
Love the filament , my new favourite.

Ok I got it to stick and guess what glue...

The lower limit of print temperature is about 260C which is the high limit of most printers and at this temperature it has great layer bonding for example a 1 1/8 inch diameter cylinder can be squeezed to almost touching inside walls and spring back without cracking. Looks great and strong ... Finally a great structural plastic!

It has to stick to something?

Another great translucent blue polycarbonate filament if only it would stick to the bed. Very good layer bonding and very clear blue color.

I purchased this a few months ago and have finally have it printing great. I switched to a PT100 temperature sensor on my e3d-v6 with a 24v heater. I start the first layer at 310 and the rest of the layers at 305. My bed was converted to 24v and I am running 27.8 volts to it so about 315 watts. I start my bed at 140 and drop to 135 after the first layer. The printer is one of the CTC prusa i3 clones that is highly modified. I have also built a full enclosure with insulation. With these settings I am very happy with this filament. I plan on trying some of the other colors to compare. For the price its a great deal.

I printed on my tevo Tarantula with modified extruder and modified firmware at 295 degree, pay attention to print in a well ventilated area!
