    HobbyKing 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm PLA 1KG Spool (Metallic Gold)

    HobbyKing have come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

    The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

    PLA:

    PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when subjected to flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project need to be evaluated.

    PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead, and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.

    I'm reasonably new to 3d printing, started using this on my Flashforge Finder (Hobbyking Purchase), it works great between 200 and 210, good adhesion, no blockages, good colour consistency but it does appear transparent when printing very thin layers. So far, the results have been excellent.

    had hoped for gold , the silvers fine, not this, prints fine but the finished colours lacking, when i need gold i will look elsewhere next time, shame i had high hopes for this one

    Good filament bad color

    Just like other Hobbyking PLA filaments when it comes to printing properties. But the color is REALLY bad. Not nearly as "gold" as the picture. More like a pale brown color. It is also transparent.
    If you are looking for a gold filament this is not for you.

    Color is more like coffee with a lot of milk

    Filament is cheap and prints pretty good but the color is not even close to the presented color on the picture. It is more like coffee with a lot of milk unfortunately.
