Print-Rite DIY 3D Printer is an easy to assemble and disassemble 3D printer that is a perfect solution for those who don't have a dedicated space to sit their printer when not using it. There are only 6 modules to screw together and you're ready to print anywhere, anytime. Just because it is easy to put together doesn't mean it isn't packed full of features to make this a quality printer, so you get a big 200x200mm bed with 170mm vertical limit, belt drives on the X & Y axes, dual stepper motors on the Z axis, rolled lead screws, a RAMPS style board, quad rail configuration, ball bearing supports and a print head cooling fan.

This printer features an advanced print head design with quick release and the ability to have 2 rolls of filament loaded on the supplied spool holder so it is easy to switch between colours when making multi-coloured models.

One of the other great things about this printer is that because it uses standard parts that are readily available it is easy to upgrade with different print nozzles and maybe even a heated bed.

So if you are in the market for a versatile 3D printer for home, school or the office the DIY is perfect for.

Good buy

This is my first 3D printer and so far I'm impressed, it came with a sample nut and bolt so I had a go and mine came out better! I would advise anyone to look at the video's on youtube for advice as to setting up, it helped me a lot. I'm going to build a cabinet for mine as I have to work in the shed and it will keep things warmer and cleaner.

well.. so far not impressed!... out the box both gantry plastic ends were cracked and splitting (usable if careful), known issue due to cheap plastic used in construction, had already planned to print out two reinforced ends anyway so wasn't too fussed. however after completing both test prints and fine tuning calibration the nozzle promptly clogged, after cleaning out the blockage and reassembling, the extruder throat clogged which caused the nozzle to clog again also, couple of other PR owners pointed out that the supplied throat internal nylon sleeve was too soft and tended to cause clogs often, now waiting on a couple of different throats and nozzles from Egay before I try again.... hopefully Ill get more than three days use out of it this time?!?!

this is my first 3d printer purchase , and was reluctant to spend a small amount on one ( thinking quality would be low ) but i have been amazed buy this product ,yes it is cheap and fairly basic , but with some time and you tube videos i got it working with some pretty good prints . iv'e almost used the roll you get with it , if your having trouble with prints not sticking 1st make sure the nozzle is set correctly , 2nd if it still lifts or doesn't stick use the hair spray trick works a treat , and ive used normal masking tape with no problems, allot cheaper than the blue tape. all in all great product

My first printer, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
The usual advice is to get a kit from somewhere, and they're usually a box of bits and 3D printed parts.
This uses the same overall design and parts as those other ones. But comes 90pcnt built and ready, includes a decent amount of filament, and uses very solid injection molded parts. It was very easy to set up and get going, and feels solid.
So far I've used over 1Kg of filament and been impressed with the quality of prints, very smooth finish.
I overheated it by accident, but was able to get a replacement extruder throat for 1.75 as it's a standard part.
The calibration cards is brilliant for removing prints, I wish I could find them to buy!

The only things I'd improve are the bracing for the Z axis, it feels like a lot of Y movement might cause wobble, but hasn't affect a print yet.
The other thing is the top filament guide hole, it's just a hole. I'm thinking of designing a feeder to help smooth the feed and put less strain on the extruder motor.

Overall it's a brilliant first printer at a very good price.
