The Nova features a beautifully molded plastic body which not only offers good looks, it provides durability and is extremely light weight. The lower body shell of the Nova integrates bright LED lights, green in the front arms and red in the rear, making orientation easy in both day and night flying. Poor mans phantom ?

Nov 01, 2016

Really like this quad and kit it out with the 3dr telemetry and it's even better. Got PNF and using tgy i6 with ppm. Getting retract to work on it can be a bit of an issue but there is help out there to get it working. Ok so it not a phantom but its 1000 £/$ less than a phantom and at a fraction of the cost you can mod it rather well.

This is a horrible product. The first one hobbyking sent me didn't work. Would not unlock the motors. So i sent it back to them and they sent me another one. It does the same thing. Motors will not unlock. Went on there support page and told thing what was happening again and they told me it was on my end since they have sent me another unit. So now i have spent a lot of money and got nothing that works. I will never buy anything from HOBBYKING again. And by the way there support system sucks, you cant call anyone and talk to them you have to go through a live chat which is BS.

I purchased this PNF Version again in April 2016 as my first Novas (bought here in June 2015) APM flight Controller died. I couldnt believe it when I opened the copter to replace the FC...Hobbyking integrated the old V2 FC board now that was already outdated in 2015. I now cant replace the board as the old QN had V5 and I now cant plug the Power module and telemetry in...quite useless purchase. Hobbyking gets rid of some extra old stuff...

This thing flies terrible. I have built several APM quads that fly great. I also have an original dji Phantom. I would definitely not recommend this to someone just starting out. If you are just starting out go for a Phantom, you will have a much better experience.

Looks good and flys alright as well, would have been better and got 5 stars if they had put in an extra serial port so I could use Bluetooth with out having to add the connections myself to the board.

I currently have over 400 flights on my NOVA, and many small electrical things have fell out of it, I honestly dont know how it still works. Point being: never had any solder issues. Mainly pilot errors.

I bought the PNF model Nova with a 2200Mah and a Turnigy TGY-I6. Works great now. I watched the video on setup and he states not to update the firmware. I DL mission planner for the setup and still could not fly. I decided to update the firmware to the latest one and flew the first time with no problems. Great little quad. Great handling for anyone. Awesome quad for the price.

Very good and stable quad. The only problem and, it is a big one is the cheap prop blades. After 3 flights the prop broke and quad fell 100ft (Boom!!) .

Bought this PNF version at a good deal during the cyber sale period. Fantastic product - I'm impressed with the capabilities in combination with the free downloadable Mission Planner software. Setting it up with my own radio and receiver (Taranis Plus and V8FR-II) was surprisingly easy thanks to the HobbyKing product video on YouTube.
Also bought a 2D gimbal from banggood.com and the metal retrackts from HobbyKing - but haven't yet installed these.
I can recommend this product.

A very good quad, you get what you pay, it comes packaged like the rtr version but with empty boxes of what it is not included. I completed the setup with a 9xr pro and a telemetry frsky tx/rx combo, and the second way to setup showed in the video worked very good for me. Check everything before flight.
