Roco Fleischmann H0 61458 Class 85 Steam Locomotive "“Kaiserzeit”" with 3 Wagons KKStB Epoch 1 (DCC Ready)

This is a beautiful scale model of a Class 85 class steam locomotive with a set of 3 wagons as used on the Imperial-Royal Austrian State Railways (KKStB). The arrangement of the sandboxes under the running board, between the coupling axles, was definitely unusual. These locomotives had no lateral storage tank, water was put in a frame water tank and coal in the driver's cab. The attention to detail of the loco and wagons is second to none, it replicates the real thing to perfection.

The loco features dual LED headlights which are direction-dependent, a metal diecast chassis, intricate coupling, and piston rods and other fine-scale detail that makes this a model to be proud to own. Please note that some of these parts you have to apply separately, they are not pre-fitted. This set includes a Box Goods Wagon and 2 Open Goods Wagons in grey KKStB livery.

The 3 pole electric motor is fitted with a flywheel driving 2 axles to aid smooth and slow running. It is supplied DCC ready with a PluX16 interface for the fitting of a digital decoder. The coupler pockets are to the NEM 362 standards with a close coupling mechanism.
