Great motor, installed it in my Turnigy Trooper and it is almost 3 times faster than the stock (gutless) inrunner. Low heat and very very fast. Only put 2 packs through it so far but pretty impressed with it. The 5mm shaft does reduce the selection of pinion gears however. Excellent value.

AWESOME little motor. It will work in just about anything from onroad to some monsters. This little motor had people at the track freaking out at my trucks power and speed. Stampede 4x4 with 40 series monster tires. BEAST MODE!!! cogs a bit only downside.

follow up review. after owning the can of black magic for two years now.. It is still going strong. I have it in my 4wd sc truck and it is rockin steady. I am wondering how many more ponies it would put down with a 100a esc? would probably get hotter though. The 60a is working good and it is plenty fast.. I have it geared up to a 14t mod1 pinion on scrt10 and the engine temps are still good.. Really liking this motor. For the money it can't be beat. beware of the 5mm shaft.

I'm running this motor in a 2WD Slash on 2S with 17/58 gearing and with a fan heatsink it stays bone cold. Temperatures reach only about 40 degrees Celsius. I'm really pleased with the motor.

this motor flat out rips.. I have other other motors from other more popular brands rated at about the same KV and this thing just spanks. Not sure how else to say it. efficency may not be quite as good(?) but who cares.. it rips! i get 15-20 min run times on 40c 4400 2s packs on 1/10 4wd sc truck. I am super pleased with this little can of black magic. have no kidding, won races with it. with a HK 60a esc, stock pinion it has plenty of beans and great top end speed very minimal cogging at low speed. temps in the 125-145F range consistently. it has been in the water and just flat driven hard and never let me down. build quality could be a little better, maybe a little better seal around the input wires, but who cares, overall for the dough it can be beat.

The actual weight of mine is 218G, it heats up pretty fast with no load, but I don't think that this will be a problem. The motor is very silent. Fits in slash 2wd, but you have to convert the gearing to 32P using jato/slash 4x4 spur and 5mm pinion.
