Gimbal kit mount quality is ok at best

May 31, 2019

When I go this kit it took ,e a few months to get around to building it. The parts and pieces all went together as expect.
However, the clamp force of the triangle pieces would not hold the tubes so they didn't rotate. So the Gimbal was useless until new holes were drilled through the side triangle pieces and the tubes so a screw could be inserted to stabilize them stopping the rotational slip.
The tray intended to hold the camera does not rotate past the horizontal support frame as it is too wide. This means the camera cannot rotate 70 degrees.
I would not

It is meh. It is a gimbal frame. That is about it. Not all of the hardware is included, and some things about this I don't want to trust my camera attached to it. Such as the pitch axis is held on on 1 side by a press fit. The pipes slide around quite easily. I would recommend you don't make the same mistake I do. Go find a gimbal somewhere else. This is somewhat cheap, but it is not worth it.
