Tamiya acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush painting or air-brushing. These paints can be used on styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood, plus all of the common model plastics. The paint offers excellent coverage, flows smoothly and can be blended easily.

For airbrushing we recommend that Tamiya paints are thinned using this X-20A thinner. This thins the paint so that it sprays better and slows down the drying process which gives you more time to work with the paint. It stops the dry edges and you end up with a better finish. The thinner is also perfect for cleaning out the airbrush after you have finished painting. Thin the paint enough so that the mixture is a similar consistency to that of milk, do not over thin otherwise the finish will look opaque and will run more readily. Approximately 30% is a good starting point for spraying, experiment on a test piece first.

• Perfect for thinning Tamiya acrylic paints
• Perfect for airbrushing
