Accessories

The Tiger Moth can be best described as Iconic, it was developed from the very successful Gipsy Moth and designed by Geoffrey De Havilland in the 1930s to meet Air Ministry specifications for a new preliminary Trainer for the RAF. The most noticeable feature that distinguishes the Tiger Moth from similar DH bi-planes is the distinctive swept upper wing, which allowed better access for a pilot while wearing a parachute. The Tiger Moth went on to become a huge success all over the world and was used by several airforces, it wasn't replaced by the RAF until 1952 when the DH Chipmunk entered service, the "Tiggy" is to this day a very popular choice with pilots all over the world and is known to be rewarding to fly.

This large scale Tiger Moth is expertly crafted and finished in a beautiful, highly detailed paint scheme. Complete with scale rigging wire, wing struts and undercarriage, this beauty will be sure to put a smile on any scale model enthusiast's face!

Presence at the airfield is one thing this model is not lacking. Once fully assembled it is quite a sight to behold. Its large wing area offers light wing loading making this Tiggy a real pleasure to fly. The removable canopy hatch allows easy access for battery changes should you choose to set this model up with an electric power system. The wings are removable should you want to disassemble it for transportation or storage.

An extensive hardware package is included so you will simply need to add your own electronics and power system to finish it. Both IC and electric power system hardware is included, making it simple to setup for either.

I just received this kit and am seriously impressed although I got it on sale at 197 it would still be impressive at twice the price. I will be modding as I have with moths before to allow the wings to be removed as two sub assemblies leaving the tank attached to the fuse.

The quality of the balsa kit is very good.
But it had bad packing quality, and there was a hole in the main wing at the time of arrival.
Because it is the beautiful finish, I am very disappointed.
There were many missing parts of attached hardware.
In addition, it has bad hardware quality.
When a rod of the wire linkage just uses it, I fall.
It will become the no control afterwards.
I traded all with one's parts.
I am amazed to learn that there was not user manual.
Though it is good, as for the result of the body, it is to the product that I am very sorry in the incoherent quality control.
