the best motor i have ever had ...considering the price current draw and performance.... i am using two of them in my self made Dornier 228 (twin engine) weighing 1900 grams...and 8inch prop 3S Turnigy nano tech battery...this motor is the best ,!!

These are the tried and tested Tower Pro motors in a different case. These motors perform best with a GWS8040 Prop (use the 3 bladed GWS8040 counter rotation Prop with the 2 blade 8040 if building quads etc.).

I bought 8 of these for a few project but i'm disapointed with the quality of these motors. The magnets come loose, they are very poorly glued in. The first one failed and cut through the motor wires. The shafts are butter soft and the motor mount plate is tin and only pressed onto the stator spigot so and knock and it will either deforn or come adrift from the stator spigot. A better choice is the Turnigy D2822/14.

Great little motor! I'm using these with a 7*4 prop in different planes:

-Delta wing (aprox 110cm lenght), it gives me vertical thrust and even with serious pulls (aerobatics and stuff) it lasts 10min with 1000mah battery!

-easy star, It gives me 50mins of flying with 2200mah battery (without much gliding!)

If it does get warm? not really, I believe that with a 7*4 setup the max current it pulls is 8-12amps.

I give it 4stars overall because you can get a 350watt motor for the same weight (50grams)

I've bought this motor and use it with a 8x4 @ 3s on a 550g "air truck" (cub planes style) and it has power to go on vertical!

I've also used this motor in homemade delta planes, in this case I used 7x4, it made my delta planes fast and capable of making some fun manouvers !

great hk !

Just received this one and tested with GWS 8x4 HD prop. It draws 16.5A and pushes about 750g. The motor is just warm after 1 min test. Its pretty good for me. But what i should say, mine is not 1400kv 0.8A/10v no load, by my measurments its 1750kv 1.2A/10v no load... So with this results prop calc says its impedance is about 220mOhm, not wery well efficient. But for the price it is just cool.

Great little motor. I upgraded my ElectraFun XP using this motor and a ESC. That little plane screams with this motor. Recommended.
