Yo lo tengo en un biplano de Foam que pesa aproximadamente 600g y funciona muy bien, le sobra motor.
Le puse una LiPo de 3Celdas de 1300mA y una elice 9x6. Muy bueno y confiable.

Using this on a Multiplex Minimag, AUW about 640g. With a 2200 Gens Ace 25C an APC 9x6E produces about 630g thrust; a GWS EP9050 (DD) about 650g. With an 8x4 you'll have to run the motor a little harder I think, to keep speed up. Maybe an 8x6 would work too.

With a handful of flights on the 9x6E, so far the motor has run reliably and no problems with ESC. It gets slightly warm with mild flying on the 9x6. The TP 9x6 cracked pretty easily but seemed to generate copious thrust and was a bolt on to the threaded shaft, however was a bit off-center. Motor bell/magnets seem slightly off-center vs the stator but doesn't seem to affect anything. The plane will clim vertically with the 9x6 setup. Pretty impressive to witness.

Best bet is to swap the stock shaft for a replacement non-threaded shaft and 3mm adapter to use the GWS or APC props. I am using a prop saver and thera band o-rings I cut myself. They hold well but have plenty of give too.

Programming is relatively easy; I got a printed instruction set that is pretty easy to follow.

Very very pleased with what I got for so little cash outlay. Was worth the wait for shipping.

works well but it gets very hot if you run it at max speed for 15 min.
after that motor noise is louder and is less efficient.
the esc works well .
i use 12 volts and 20-25 amps power supply

This is the perfect combo for powering any of those old .049 powered designs from years ago.I have recently installed one of these combos into a 25 year old Q-Tee which was previously flown with an anemic Cox .049 Dragonfly engine and wow.....what a difference. This thing NEVER flew as well as a glow plane.Needless to say,it has me reviewing all those old .049 plans and going HMMM!!Best $19.95 I've spent in this hobby in quite some time.Cheap fun.

super combo, rien a redire, le controleur de 25 amperes suffit largement a ce moteur, et tres bon rendement de ce dernier, equipe sur mon 3d epp, le torque roll est au rendez vous !!!

Very nice combo. I used it to replace the original brushed motor+reductor on a 75cm wingspan Fokker DR1. It turned the plane into a rocket!! Flying "scale" at half throttle gives a good 15min of flight time with a 2S 1050mAh battery. I did bend the main shaft in a crash, but an HK450 3mm feather shaft turned out to be a good replacement.

Here are the exact figures calculated on the Pc based on real data:

With an 1800 ma/h 3s battery, you get 900g of thrust, 21 amps on the esc and about 4-5 minutes of full thottle time with this 8x3,8 prop (which is the best with 67% efficiency), for example a 9x6 pop would take about 30 amps with much lower efficiency, and would probably kill the esc. the motor input is 217 watts, output is 147w. Its great for planes up to 1kg for aerobatics
