use the 2409-9d in my 2m glider and it climbs to 300ft in seconds, using a 8x6prop 30esc 1500mah 11.1v 3cell battery, cannot fault this motor but a bump on the prop adapter will bend the shaft, replace the shaft with one out of a old cd rom which are the same diameter but slightly longer and very strong. i have bought about 45-50 of these motors for club mates and nobody as had a bad one, got to buy another 6 for the club lads to keep them happy. worth 10 stars anytime

Moded the motor in a pusher power pod with the ST-330 Easy Flyand the results were good. Video posted here in HK in the ST-330 section. HD version on Youtube search "Aa_8sRV5dok"

I find the same as others bad shaft, etc. I find only one mention of no mount. One of the two distances is .8 inches. Does anyone know of a mount that fits?

Nice motor but worst shaft ever.

Bends by looking at it.

Also the bell got loose during first flight - although the srew has been glued (by me).

So three stars only.

I have replaced the bearings for a 4mm shaft and will now drill a 4mm hole into the bell. Hope this solves the problem.

Apart from shaft i can recommend this as motor for my selfmade depron racer "purist". aeronaut fiber prop 8.5x7 and 3S Lipo 2200mAh: lots of power!

Just flew my foamy profile Cap232 with this motor turning a 8X6 APC prop, Turnigy 25 Amp sentry ESC and Rhino 1050mAh 3S1P 30C Lipoly Pack and 4 HXT 900 Servos.Plane weight all up is 440 grams. Flew a mix of loops, rolls and general cruising around for 4 1/2 minutes at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and motor was just warm as were the battery and ESC. Great motor, heaps of grunt and has got a great sound as well. The shaft can be reversed easily enough although the mount holes were not drilled evenly and my motor mount from my previous motor needed a little surgery to make it fit so only a 4 star rating. If your on the hunt for a motor for your profile foamy, this is a great choice. Very happy. :-)

Unlike the TURNIGY motors, the motor is all you get which is okay. Just make sure you order all the connections you need with this or you will place another order and wait for the connectors.

Weight:2.15oz

Shaft:3mm
