I am using this motor as a power generator and I need to lower it's kv constant. Does anyone have a wiring diagram / link / smth so I can re-connect it's wires to get 110 kv?

Strong Motor

Apr 21, 2009

Overall this motor is a great value for the money. Flew this on a 15lb Greatplanes Edge540 with good performance. Had orded a 8T but got the 10T, no problem. One thing I would do is put some glue on the magnets since there seems to be a problem with magnets coming loose, as ,mine did. Also know the magnets are in a specific order and when put back in out of order it ruins the motor, my stupidity.

I measured the constants on this motor.

Kv = 220

Rm = .068 ohm

Io = 1.33 amps

Turns a 20x12 electric prop @ 6400 rpm on 10 LiPoly cells drawing 77 amps.

this is one great motor: put it in a 27% katana from 2k models, used 8 d9 4100 cells and 22-10 prop,sentellion 12cell controller, goes strait up as far as i could see.

the verticle speed is the same as the horizontel speed, flew for 15 minutes and everthing was cool.

have about 10 flights on it now, this is a real 3d set up.

thank you tower pro and hobby city.

I have one of these motors in a 1/4

scale p-51 running a 12s system using

zippy's 5000 mah batteries 20c-30c

using a 20x11 apc-e prop and using

the 12s 100amp speed cotroller United

Hobby suplise it pulls about 50amps

at full thottle on the bench I get

15 minet flights with it like this

with straight away speed at about 125mph and 150 foot loops at 3/4

thottle is no problem total weight

is about 15 pounds I could go bigger

in prop but nothing come back even warm

even on an 80 degree day that great

I can fly twice as long as any gas plane would even think of flying

TowerPro 5330-10T + 14S2P A123

Nov 14, 2007

Very well made motor with a great price!!!

I use it with Sentilion 100A and 14S2P A123:

18x8 Pelikan 7830 rpm @ 55A

20x8 Xoar 7450 rpm @ 75A

23x8 Biela 6350 rpm @ (not measured because stator rotate around baerings) to much power for this motor.

Very good if used with power less than 2,8 kW. With 20x8 Xoar and 23x8 Biela should run with high timming and when it get warm to much it could loose synchro at full power. So to use bigger prop the voltage should be lower.

Tower Pro 5330

Nov 14, 2007

I ordered this motor, when I got it, I can't remember, it was 10T or 9T. Anyways, I put it on a Hangar 9, 27% Extra 260 which had a DA50 in it. I bolted the motor on with a 22x10 APC E prop. I used 2 5S Flightpower Evo20 3700mah batteries for 10S. Using a Jeti 77 controller, I measured it with the wattmeter and at WOT it showed 2600watts of power pulling around 80 amps. All up weight around 13.5 pounds. Flew it up, plenty of power and did 2 sequences of Basic IMAC and logged a 7 minute flight. Throttle was used wisely, in order not to tax anything. After the flight, I put 2600mahs back in the pack. I dont have a temp gun, but to touch, motor was cool, batteries were a touch warm. Excellent motor for the price.
