Just received mine.

Overall looks ok, but.....

1) No Manual is included

2) There is no template for drilling the 4 holes required to fit a propellor

3) The 4 prop bolt heads need to be recessed into the wood of the prop hence you need to drill concentric different diamater holes into the prop in order to fit the front washer and nut. This is not easy to achieve unless you have a vertical drill press.

4) The weight of the motor is 1640 grams and not the advertised 1230 grams. A difference of 410 grams or 33 more. This is bad when you are ordering a motor which needs to fulfill certain weight requirements

Had I known I would have bought the 80-100 which is more powerful. But then again the weight of that one also looks wrong.

Yikes! The quality control on these motors is kind of lacking. We tore down five of the six 8085s we purchased, and four of them had loose windings (the many-stranded wire had some strands hanging loose into the magnets!). Two had their phase leads rubbing on the bell skirt, which is a guaranteed future short!

Fortunately, it was something a bit of super glue fixed and OMG THEY KICK SO MUCH ASS IT'S FREAKIN INCREDIBLE. HK NEEDS MORE CAPACITY!!

Powerfull motor. I've use it in my 1:2.6 scale Inland Sport, with 10s 5800mAh LiPo and 28x12 JXF prop. The 14 kg plane is going vertical, and the motor is not warm. Video of maiden here:

I have 2 mountain boards with outrunners from here, and you don't need this big unless you want to go over 45 mph. I have a sk5065-270kv on the first one, which is just 1 wheel drive. My second one has 2 sk6374-170kv, had it running 2 sentilon 100amp HV speed controls. Was way to fast had it geared to 45 mph. I stacked the first ride, probably 35 mph then i tried to hit full throttle, wheelied and when came down i speed wobbled.

I use the new assembled Engines in a Paramotor and they are AWESOME !!!!

Thanks Hobby King for this great product
