The Turnigy TrackStar sensored brushless motors offer outstanding performance at an
incredible price!Trackstar series motors have been optimized for use with todays high
power 1/10th scale racing trucks, cars and buggies.

4 pole motors reduce your immediate acceleration but provide more torque and an improved
top speed, which is ideal for heavier vehicles that are geared for higher speeds.

Featuring a quality anodized CNC motor can, hand-wound high purity copper windings and
powerful sintered neodymium magnets, you won't find a better priced motor of this caliber
anywhere else! They also feature adjustable timing which allows for fine tuning the
performance of your ride while the sensor ensures smooth startups and acceleration.

The TrackStar brushless motors make a great upgrade for 1/10th cars, trucks and buggies or
anything else that uses 540 size motors.

Very good motor. I pair it with TrackStar Gen 2 120A SCT sec and they give my SCT plenty of power. Very smooth both low and high speed. I waterproof both with varnish (especially the sensor component) and I can dive my SCT into water without problem. I currently tested it up to 80km and planned to test it >100km with a higher pinion gear. I added a heat sink (151000014) and the motor temperate is around 60'C in a sunny day with ~32'C air temperature. So a cooling fan is recommended if you want to give it a very tough job and I believe it should handle well too! 100pcnt recommended.

What a monster of a motor. I installed this in a Turnigy Trooper with a 120A ESC, and geared down to an 11T pinion (from 14T stock) expecting to get a small but noticeable speed boost. Instead, I got a 4wd semi-guided missile that's nearly impossible to control for any reasonable person. the truck is spinning all 4 tires on pavement for at least the first 40 feet, by which point it's probably going 45mph (a guess) and still pulling hard. If you are a basher, this motor is great (though I suspect the trooper's durability may suffer due to the increase in crash energy). But if you're a racer, I think most people will find this motor is too much for use on a smaller, indoor SCT track. I'll be dialing my throttle setting back to 60pcnt or so just to maintain control around the track.

Also of note, this motor does not actually fit the trooper without modification to the heat sink/motor mount, due to the location of the motor lead wire soldering pads. It's a 5 minute fix with a dremel tool to cut up the heat sink.

So other than too much power (which I never thought I'd say, ever), and the mounting difficulties which don't seem unusual, this motor is great so far. 5 stars for now, subject to change if the motor blows up or something.
