I just installed a set of these in my 78" scratch built A6 Intruder. From the outside the quality looks very good and seem very solid. However, after doing a few test cycles so that I could set the strut angle one gear just locked up half way with a stripped gear. Tried to get HK to replace under warranty and they sent me a cheap set which are not the same. So I had to open up and see what I could find wrong.

The quality of the case and internal metal parts are very good and strong. The screw drive gear box is very weak and not up to the rest of the product. If Turing would install a stronger gear box these retracts would sell like hot cakes. Unfortunately I have a contest in two weeks so could not send the damaged one back so I'm screwed for a replacement. 2 out of ten but with a stronger gear box would have been 9 out of ten.

not very good at all, if you tighten the bolt on the tall bracket the retracts bind, bad geometry design, the grub screw on the holding bracket was stripped and theres not enough material to tap it out, very weak, retracts seem ok but the twist and turn is very poor, was going to use them on my esm p40 but will stick with original air retracts, cannot recommend these at all. just like my ca 80 motor from hk, rubbish.

Usualy my orders take 3 month to be delivered but my retracts were delivered 112 h 20 min after my order click. THANKS DHL. - I live in Brasil.

I should not have rated it 5 crowns, but... CHECK BEFORE TESTING: They have 12 socket head bolts, two were tightened, 8 were loose and 4 I found inside the box. Dont through away the box before checking the bolts. THEY ARE NOT 100 DEGREE ROTATING, MINE ARE ONLY 94 ( NINETY FOUR DEGREE ONLY ). By fortune 94 in both retracts.
