I bought two of these motors, and though they ran well, they break easy. I fitted them onto fixed wing planes, and on a bad landing the shaft sheared at the cir-clip. Its a weak point right at the front where the propeller attaches. It happened twice in the same way. I wouldn't recommend them. I also didn't realise that the mounting point is at the front of the motor rather than at the back which is what I expected, so I had to mount it on struts. I think the weakness is introduced because of this back to front arrangement. If it were the other way round the cir-clip would be at the back end, and not under pressure on a crash.

Using this on a HobbyKing Skyfun with 30 amp ESC, 7 X 6 Master Airscrew prop and 1500 mAh 3S lip for hube performance gain over stock motor. Doubles the stock top speed and lots more thrust. Not for the speed freaks but a modest upgrade. Completely happy with this motor. Stays warm, smooth bearings, quiet.

I have not been able to fly with this motor yet. One big problem. You have to REVERSE the shaft and this may ruin your motor. Why can't hobby king sell these reversed already?

I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 2 MONTHS FOR THE MOTOR FOR MY KINETIC 800 SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THIS ONE BASED ON REVIEWS. IT JUST FITS. ONE TIP, PUT AN EXTRA PIECE OF SHRINK TUBE IN THE WIRING SO YOU CAN TACK GLUE TO THE TOP OF THE INSIDE OF THE FUSALAGE TO KEEP THE WIRES OFF THE CAN.

ONE WEEK FROM HK TO UK, NOT BAD.

I bought 4 of these motors for a Quad running 8x4.5 props they work great however I had to reverse the prop shafts and the ones that come with this motor had to be replaced because they do not have a notch for the retaining clip. If you get these motors and plan to reverse the prop shaft be prepared to replace them with one that has a notch in the shaft at the base. Other then that, they are quite good.

Great motor! I'm flying on the delta wing with 2200mAh battery and 8x3.8 prop. Flying time around 15-20 minutes.
