I use this motor in the Dr. Mad Thrust 50mm 10 blade EDF. With a half charged 3S 11.1v 30C Rhino pack, this motor pulls 33A, and more on a new pack that is charged. The motor is quite large, runs fairly balanced and as far as I can identify, is the same as ExceedRC's 4800kv motor right from the machined bearing housing to the bell. The magnet bell and shaft can be pulled out to facilitate changing the shafts that are included. The shaft is held in with a set screw and will require a 1.5mm hex wrench. Removing a shaft will take some work, just be careful not to bend the shaft as you remove it. I hold the shaft in a bench vise and grab the magnet bell and twist axially. It will turn free with enough force. I will definitely buy another, it is a nice working motor that I would feel comfortable using in 64mm five & six bladed EDFs.

compared this motor to value hobby's edf 4800kv motor. both perform about the same. value hobby edf seems to have a little more punch. this edf is smooth from start to finish. depends on the pilot too. i'm using it with a 64 mm 7 blade fan with a 3s 40c 2250 Rhino battery. not even half throttle needed to send this plane high. i put it on a glider which works great for my needs. it also sounds great with a 7 blade fan.

Ottimo motore. L'ho montato sul mio L39 Electrifly con una ventola da 64mm e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Velocissimo e il jet riesce a salire in verticale per molti metri anche se non all'infinito...Con una 64mm consuma circa 49 ampere

Wow, excellent motor! Got this on the stock 5 blade 64mm EDF with around 750-800 grams of thrust using just a 3S 20C lipo (should be higher, 40C better!!)... Amazing! Good build quality. I will post the Amps and Watts later on, still got to receive the watts meter. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to upgrade their stock EDF without the extra costs of 4S batteries and without cutting away EPO for a bigger fan!
