I'm using this in a budget Carbon Protos 500 build. For the price, it's hard to beat. Early days yet, but running a 15t pinion and governed HS2700 - HS2800, the motor comes down at about 130f. That's hotter than I'd like, but it seems OK. The motor isn't exactly a powerhouse, but fine for my sport flying. The bearings seem good, and my motor was well balanced. Compared with the Turnigy 3126 I used in my HK500, the magnets feel quite weak. The motor comes with 4mm bullets already fitted, and I'm using a YEP 90A ESC. Doubtless the 890kv Scorpion motor is better, but it costs about six times as much.
fine motor for low budget, I use it together with Yep 100 esc for a glider, 2s Lipo, and Cam Carbon 18x11, in flight about 70A, 5 stars over all
Very good Motor for MSH Protos 500. Shaft has to be trimmed down to be able to fit the MSH Motor adaptor, but bolt holes and fit is perfect. Motor has very good power and works well on stock kit pinion gear. Coupled with a YGE 60 amp ESC, the combination works from very low head speeds right up to very fast 3-D head speeds. Had about 60-70 flights now and the motor bearings are holding up fine so far.

mounted on mcm crystal glider 3m, 2.6 kg rtf powered by lipo 4s with 13x6 aeronaut wide. 62A in early (4s3300) or 950w. 80A SBEC esc dymond. the glider climbs almost vertically, approximately 150m in 10s. the engine runs 10 seconds max during the climb. Ground engine is 55 c 15 c ambient temperature. this engine will not come for a few seconds without 1300w cooling very pushed. there is axial play of shaft out of the box. front ball bearing quality (and rear?) is doubtful. The price is great but should be considered a change bearing by quality if you want to use this engine seriously. I guess that efforts are helico weaker by unbalance the absence of propeller cone.
mont sur crystal mcm 3m, 2,6kg rtf de clavier modelisme aliment en 4s avec 13x6 aeronaut large, 62A en debut d'accu (4s3300) soit 950w. esc dymond 80A sbec. le planeur grimpe presque verticalement , 150m en 10s environ. le moteur fonctionne 10 secondes max durant le vol. au sol moteur est 55c t ambiante 15c. ce moteur ne sortira pas 1300w pendant quelques secondes sans un refroidissement tres pouss. il ya un jeu axial des la la sortie de la boite. la qualit du roulement avant (et arriere ?) est douteuse. Le prix est exceptionnel mais il faudra envisager un changement de roulement par de la qualit si on veut utiliser ce moteur en avion. je suppose que les efforts en helico sont plus faibles de par l'absence de balourd cone helice.

Nice motor and good value.Have got this motor mounted in a Gaui 550 fitted with Turnigy Nanotech 6s 3300mah 35c battery and 500mm blades.I have the timer set for 5mins and everything is ok afterwards.Motor is hot to the touch when finished so will have a play with the timings at a later date maybe lower the timing a bit and use a bit more ventilation?
Mounted on a Protos 500. Uses same shaft as the Scorpion 3026 880. Running 6S and had peaks of over 1400 Watts. Pretty powerful but not as efficient as Scorpion. Very good quality, silicon wires, good bearings.
good made, not very well windings, mabe good to rewind with more powerful winding.BUT: 14 bugs in the super sale, a great Bang for the buck!
Great motor, although is intended for helicopter i put it in my eflite yak carbon z with 12x4 propeller and 6s 2200mah lipo, this plane can dissapear in the sky in a few seconds, hover less than half throttle, about 6 min of hard 3d flight, wot measures 1300watts!!!!!! comes down COLD!!!!!!!, amazing would say scorpion and hacker are going bankruptcy soon.
