Apparently HK plans to no longer stock this motor. Is there a way to influence that decision? I would gladly buy several. They are perfect for the size and type pf planes I build and fly (Brian Taylor plans built scale aircraft). Are other modelers so inclined? I know of some and expect there are quite a few more. If you plan not to continue the product, where can I get more? I'll take 4 of them just on expectation of needing more.

Installed in my AJ Slick 71". Was a pain to setup due to poor workmanship (see my other post).

Lasted 30 flights and seized. Almost lost the plane.

Installed in my AJ Slick 71" with an 19x10e APC propeller, 8s batteries and a Tuyrnigy Sentilion 100esc. Assembly is very poor. The front set screw was lose and the axle popped out about 1/2" after the first flight. There was no flat spot on the axle to hold the set screw. Once the screw was tightened in the best possible way there was a 1/16" play on the axle! Needed to remove the back "C" clip, add a spacer and use the retainer to hold the axle in place with no play. Later found out that the motor would not take full power. It would make a piercing screeching sound and stop spinning. I had to reduce the throttle travel to 90pcnt so it would work. Flew ok for 10 flights after that. I would not buy it again.

Sadly mine threw most of it's magnets within the first 60 seconds of spin-up. I kicked myself afterwards however as not expecting this to happen I didn't think to put on the watt meter so it *may* have been outside of operating parameters for the motor. I ran it on 10S (2x 5S 3000 MAh Zippy's) turning a Turnigy Wood 18 x 8. Sorry as i say no ide of the current draw or overall wattage as it went bang pretty quick. Fortunately the Sentil 100A HV esc survived. To give an ide however it was more than 1:1 on a 8lb 68" EF YAK 54 so i have no doubt that it would have flown it well. to be fair this is the first Turnigy motor that I have had that have failed - and I have a few now!

Have just ordered the replacement but this time a 63-54 250kva instead as I think it is perhaps more suited to 10S.

Have given it 3 * as benefit of the doubt.

I've bought 2 of these. Both were for 10 Brian Taylor models, F6F-3 and Spitfire MkIA. The MkIA piled in causing the motor slight damage. It still works. The Hellcat flies with 17/10 APC, the MkIA flew with 17/12. Both used 6C 5000 20C batteries. Lots of power. Flights up to 10 min for the F6F-3 with 20 left for go-round if necessary. Longer for the MkIA because it was so clean. ESC for the MkIA was a 77 Jeti, for the Hellcat a 70 Jeti. Turnigy 60 amp would have been enough, I think. Ave flight amps based on recharge was ~16-18 for the MkIA, 18-20 for the

F6F-3. Nice motor for large prop scale subject. Can handle large dia, heavy, long spinners.
