Very good product

Nov 16, 2020

It is so good it comes in a carry case and has good instructions. The soldering iron Heats up very fast if you screw on the tip properly before using because the first time I used it it took 30 min to heat up fully so it unscrewed the tip which is very easy and found it loose I tightened it and it heated up in 3 minutes I think all come like that for some reason but I think the bottom of the tip does not touch the heating element so it takes such a long time to heat up. Good range of temp good amount of soldering wire , good stand you need it, good range of tips for different operations, the tip cleaner works like the de-solderer and the needle nose tweeters help when soldering circuit boards and you need to move wire. Defiantly recommend very good value.

Good value iron and accessories

Mar 09, 2018

I have mixed feelings about this soldering iron set.
The carry case is great.
The selection & quality of tips is great.
The tip cleaner (with rosin in the bottom) is great.
The tweezers are great.
The performance of the iron however is underwhelming.
The heat up time is disappointing as it heats up no faster than my old 25W iron, despite being labelled as 60W
I used a power meter to test it heating from cold, and it pulls only 23W, so there you go...
I'm not convinced of its temperature accuracy either. I've no precise way of testing its temperature, but comparing its performance alongside a TS100 iron (which is calibrated), the dial would seem to read 50-70C above the actual tip temp. Which means also that the max temp of 450C is highly optimistic.
But, at this price, I don't want to complain, and would recommend to those on a budget.
