Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival but surpasses the quality of many leading motor manufacturers on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

Mounted it my Bonsai, proceeded to try to stretch the o-ring on (the screws have no clearance), gave up and tried to loosen the screw on the prop saver and it just snapped off leaving half of it unmoved and flush to the motor bell. I'm now 15$ poorer and no closer to getting in the air. Dont buy this crap.

A bit heavy , but really sturdy ( a plus for me )
runnin on 2S with a t.gy plush 6 amp ESC
tested props
4040
4045
4141
on a 133 gram depron model (Kawasaki KI-61 reproduction 560mm wingspan)
the 4.1X4.1 prop is the best , with a 25 C 500 ma zippy 2S I fly for about 7 minutes , and I like speed :-) .
The 4045 is a bit faster , but requires fast hand launch : my small plane runs up to 80 km/h .
If you plan to use this motor , build everything strong - it flies fast !

I had this motor on a small plane I built for racing, and I have gone into the ground at 60-70mph the motor going in 5cm several times and it still works like the day I bought it. I will be buying more.

They are well built on the outside, but has timing/quality issues. Ordered 8 of these for use with Afro 12A and other SimonK ESC's. The motor lost power momentarily, sometimes causing a crash. After error-searching my tricopter for a whole weekend, trying different SimonK versions, reverse version etc (18.6.2014), even trying to add capacitor, I still got hiccups. Replacing the motor did the trick.

Decent tiny little motor, pulling about 6.8A with a 5.3 prop on a 2s nano-tech. Wish the prob saver was a tiny bit longer just to hold on a bit more but works well enuff.

I have bought 4 of them. 1 has loose copper wire inside the bell and stuck between the bell and stator.
