Equivalent to a 40cc gas engine on 12 cells, 5000maH. Fitted in a Pilot RC Extra 300 73 inch wingspan. Been happily running it for nearly three years now. See my comments in Community discussions regarding performance/power. Problem at the moment is lack of Lipos for big planes. Backorder forever it seems.

L'avion tout équipé pèse 7kg, je vole mi gaz et toute l'acro y passe...
Je suis très content de mon achat.
Je dois encore tester une 19x10, le but est de consomer moins et de voler plus longtemps.
Actuellement je mets le chrono moteur sur 5' et ensuite j'entame l'aterro. Je suis à 7' moteur quand le vol est terminé et les accus (5000mA) sont à 40%

Ideal for 2 M scale aerobatic model

Initially, there was some confusion as to the power rating of this motor - the spec sheet and the product description sheet gave conflicting values. HobbyKing was contacted and the problem was swiftly rectified. The motor's power rating is 2,750 W.
Initial static power tests, with an APC E 20X10 prop, indicated that this power, on 12S, could be exceeded at half throttle - even a 19X10 prop was too big a load. I eventually settled on the 20X10 prop, cut down to 18.8 diameter which pushed the motor just over its limit on a fresh 12S Lipo, even with the ATV reduced on the Tx. Throughout this test the motor was smooth-running and not excessively hot. (my motor mount uses an additional rear support bearing).
The motor will unload in the air bringing the power level well below the static value.
Test flying has shown my 14 lbs model to have an unlimited vertical performance. It's early days yet, but, so far, I am well-pleased with this product.

Great motor for the money

Fantastic motor. Very powerful - installed in an electric skateboard. I’m 100kg plus the weight of the board and the motor - and it pulls like a bat out of hell. Quite surprised just how strong it is. I’ve had the board up to 25mph and that’s as far as I’m willing to go before I have to go and change my pants. It was still pulling hard at that point. Lots of low speed torque!
Well put together and good quality manufacturing.
For the price - it’s as good as a motor 2.5 times the price.
As far as longevity is concerned no idea - my setup has had a bit of vibration - but after around 30-40 miles - so far no issues whatsoever.
Highly recommend as an electric skateboard setup - also would be great in a heavy model airplane installation with weights of 17-18lbs to swing a large 20-21 inch prop.

Installed this in a Hangar 9 RV-4. All up weight was 20 pounds. Using a wood 19x10 prop and 12S 5000mah battery, it would pull the RV4 nearly unlimited vertical.
