Fitted this in my HK B17 makes my plane look so much better no tail wheel hanging out the bottom of the plane. When I fitted mine it was a few cuts of foam a bit of strengthing. Just take time doing this as we all know best.

Picked up one of these a few weeks ago, fitment was straight forward and operates beautifully scale. When I took mine out of the box, all the linkage bolts were loose. I tightened them up and thought nothing more.
First flight out and on the second landing the whole system collapses. The retract linkage had stripped it's bolts and twisted one of the linkage plates. Granted, the landing wasn't my smoothest, but I would have expected this system to easily withstand a few bad landings. Very disappointing as up to this point I had been very impressed with this product!
If you're considering buying this, also consider the 1.5-1.7m wingspan version, looks like it may be less likely to twist and damage like this version, although it is heavier.

Just installed one of these little buggers into my HK 1200mm corsair. Slid the rudder servo to the middle of the servo tray. Removed the fixed tail section. Built up a piece of wood a bit larger with a bit of an angle to offset the positioning of the tail wheel relative to center. Two screws through the provided mounting holes. 30Min epoxy to wood sides three edges. Slips right into the notch left after removal of fixed assembly. Cut a little foam so height is correct set in place.
I actually attached the pull-pull cable first then, set in place.
Install pull pull cables to rudder/tail servo.

Really nicely made and finished. Recommend you replace the very bottom M2 pivot bolt with a longer one and place a nut on it. As supplied it threads into a tapped hole and was already loose when received.
Otherwise an excellent bit of gear!

This is a sturdy, well-made product. The only downside was that when I connected 6.6V Li-Fe battery, the motor turned a few seconds and then the circuit apparently died. I should've checkt its rating: up to 6V. The battery was just after being charged, so the voltage may have been more like 7.0V. Still, I guess a lot of people nowadays expect such a device to work at higher voltages, and I would be glad if HK would do anything about it sooner than later.
