nice Motor, good looking, powerful, but - I should have read the reviews before - it's leaking like hell. Gotta find another one and ask for refund for this. Can only recommend not to buy this one :(Mine is leaking too, most of the water exits the motor via the axle. Will try to fix, after de-installing the fan you can unscrew the axle and open the motor. A bit dissapointed but should have read the reviews before buying.I purchased two, sending two back, leaks around shaft, should have headed other reviews.
Very tedious sending back and then I have to reconfigure the boat. Two of purchased engines were leaking, moreover the replacement were leaking too. Now I have four leaking motor... So I don't recommend buying this part.I have bought this motor but its in the trashcan now.
The watercooling was leak and was running water right in the motor.
I've installed this on a scratch boat that I just built. It was a self-righting 26" Deep Vee with 48mm X 1.4P prop, coupled with a 50A ESC and all I can say is that it didn't even warmed up. I was using a 3S 20C battery (5000mAh) and all up, quite good.
Due to the design at the back of the motor (cooling fins), it whistles when it's zooming fast, which I like. Highly recommended for small boats.
