I had read only good reviews, but after purchasing people at the aero club saw it and told me of its dire issues, which happened about 2 sundays later, the brushes broke rendering it useless, and it appears the only way to repair, IF you can get the brushes, is to destroy the unit. I DEFINATELY ADVISE AGAINST THIS STARTERsperavo di mettere in moto un motore almeno di 30 cc a benzina invece no non lo riesce accenderlo va bene solo per piccoli motori glow spero che si utileCrazy torque. Absolutely amazing when I connected 2x2s lipos (15v). Not experienced any problems yet comments regarding weak brushes make me scare. We will see.Dont ever buy one of these bought one did not even last one month and stopped working. Tried to claim on warranty and as i am not very tech savvy and could not send a video of it not working there has been NO RESPONSE TO MY CLAIM. Have spent thousands of dollars with Hobbyking and my first warranty claim nevet again I will find a more honourable supplier
I have ordered 20 Turnigy belt drive starters for the guys in the clubs and I have herd nothing but good reviews. They will start a 50cc gas engine with a fully charged 2200 Turnigy 14.8 v 4 cell battery !!! and any gas engine under a 50cc 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Thay are light and well made the spare belt I have never change one yet but I keep one in my flight box you never know!!!. I have had mine for 3 years and it never skips a beat you cant go wrong.I really am enjoying this starter plenty of power for my OS.75ax Glow engine. will hold any number or size lipo battery in its undercarage. light weight as compared to conventional starters. I removed tamiya plug and intalled an XT60 yellow type plug. also mounted my glow driver to the back of the starter for covenience. It is a nice unit when it works. Problem is the brushes wear very quickly, and I mean very quickly and HobbyKing cannot supply them. Makes it a very expensive purchase. 3 out of 5 failed this way.Though this unit works pretty well and is a good idea but it will burn out easily. A better quality motor is required to make this a long lasting tool. Good while it works though turnovers big motors even 4 stroke twins like the fg57t
This is a great starter. I fitted a 4s 14.8 2200mah lipo which slides in the cage, nice feel and it turns over my 25cc NGH gasser with ease. Normal size rubber inserts fit the cone ok but I really like the insert that comes with it hopefully HK will stock these soon. 5 crowns all the way on this one, great value.devrait tre vendu avec une rallonge en 6 pans.dommage.sinon super dmarreur rapport qualit prix
