Good retracts for aircraft up to 3.5 kg. Work well and clearly. I am satisfied.

Fitted a set to my Hawker Hunter. tested them on the bench and in the plane, everything perfect. After 2 flights, I went home. Cycled them at home only to find the one main retract would only work in one direction (Extending), stripped the unit completely. The motor only turns one way, when you try "Retract" the motor makes a feeble attempt at moving then stops. Another 2 flights later, the nose wheel retract stops and now does the exact same thing. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on with these retracts? Or what surface mount components I should try and replace?

I do not recommend these retracts due to their high failure rate. And my retracts were not binding at all in the plane.

Bought another set of these as my nose-gear retract failed even before fitting to aircraft. I just stopped, and I cant pin-point the fault. Replacement set arrived and the first one from the set has failed after only 3 cycles. This one seems to be a microswitch fault, but not sure. Thats a 33pcnt failure rate and now I'm not sure I want to fit these into the aircraft. I might look for something more reliable...

These are great retracts. Currently fitting them to T-45 Goshawk. A little work needed, but nothing to hard. The front pin is 3mm, and the mains are a 4mm pin (outside trunion) stepped down to 3mm, so a 3mm leg is not a problem. You do however need a 4mm od x 3mm id, 6mm length spacer as part of the trunion hole is 4mm. Operation is smooth and a nice scale speed. Great value.

Received them today. They look pretty good...I will be installing them tomorrow nite. It says pin size is 4mm. The rears are 4mm pins but the front is 3.17mm. Had I known this I would have picked up a different pair here. It's nice to have stronger front gear and my struts are all 4mm...now I have to sleeve it somehow or get different struts.
4 stars for this.

Look good, tested fine once received. No slop and nice slow cycle action to look more scale.
