MultiStar ESCs are a quality speed controller at a fantastic price! Designed for simple installation and easy setup these ESCs have proven to offer excellent performance when used in Multi-rotor applications. If you're starting out in Multi-rotors and need an easy to install solution that is tested and proven to work with Multi-rotor craft then these speed controllers have you covered.

These V2 ESC's features BLHeli software for a very smooth yet linear throttle response, without sacrificing a rapid, crisp, response to any throttle input.

Awesome little ESC. I use them on Flite Test airplanes, they are nice and light and the BEC works awesome. On the long side, but being so light outweighs that.

I use 4of these in my Hercules quadcopter with 2216 motors and 4s battery, mounted inside the arms.
They work perfectly and stay nearly cold. I will order some more of them for my next project.

I use 4 of them on a quadcopter, conncted through an APM and they work perfectly. However I have 2 more not working on a plane, connected to an Assan 2.4GHz V2 receiver (MPX Tx and Assan universal TxModule). They work using a servo tester but not on the receiver (nothing happens, like there is no signal). The Rx works OK with any other brand of ESC, so it is really a problem with the Multistar ESC.

I just bought 4 of these, 3 worked 1 failed. I have purchased many mulitstar esc's and have them on many of my multirotors. Till now I have been very pleased with this brand. I will continue to buy them because of price and performance, but there is a quality issue that needs to be addressed. In failing I mean the motor would not start, it tried for about 2 sec each time I initiated the mulitirotor, so I swapped motors because this was a brand new esc which didn't work so I switched to a plush esc and both motors tried will now work.

cute little esc, still not small enough for trifecta tail tray, nonetheless the quality is good and it has bootloader so much easier to change firmware than stock esc which needs soldering or flashing tool.

Ordered these to fit inside 16mm arms (15mm inside), they fit perfectly.
Sadly the quality control is low, I ordered in total 5 Opto's and 3 with the BEC for my Hexa, and found 1 Opto and 1 with BEC to be faulty out the box. Strange issue with on as it was acting differently to the others and the other one just did not work out the box.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the two faulty ones I ordered about 3 weeks before the 6 working ones, i wanted to test them but they got stuck in the post so I ordered the 6 I needed. Maybe the new batch is now better?
Anyway, I had 6 working so I'm using them with MultiStar Elite 3508-268kv motors with 17x5.5 props and a 960 Hexa.
Upgraded firmware to BLHeli v14 and altered some settings to get my best results.
Closed Loop MUST be OFF as with Low Voltage Limiter.
Motor Gain at 1, the same with Startup Power.
Temp protection off, PWM Dither 7 and Low RPM Power Protect On.
Demag MUST be OFF.
For best results PWM Frequency / Damped MUST be set to "DAMPED LIGHT"
Motor Timing is best at Medium, Low pulls more power!.
Anything noted as MUST caused the motor to run slower or react to throttle changes strangely or slowly. Others were decided by current draw or best feel.
Any settings not included here either where not available in v14 or seemed unimportant.

This ESC working good with multistar 2216 motor and 4s battery.
Except one serious issue: here is how to reproduce it
1. connect the battery and wait for 10 min
2. after 10 minutes, your esc should begin to beep, then wait another 3 minutes
3. disconnect and reconnect your battery really fast

Then you have a very high chance to burn both your esc and your motor. I have burn two esc and two motor in the same way.

great ESC... very small for tube install... configuration -> no problem with BLHeli Tool... flashing software is not necessary to use them... very low heat generation... exactly that i missed...
