Downside

May 22, 2018

Still nice for the price (22 euros) but you should have spare bearings (4x11x4) they won't last.
I am very careful in props balancing but I use 16¨ and they put more stress on bearings, 4s config so I´m not on the max rpm.
I'm changing to steel/ceramic for testing I´ll post results.
No other issues but bearing so far.

They be good motors.

Dec 13, 2016

I have 8 of these and they easily compete with some of those more expensive brands. I've tried 1555 props and 1747 props, but the 17inch ones actually produce less thrust (they struggle more, plus I get tons of vibration). If there is benefit of using bigger props it would be efficiency and not thrust....that has been my experience with these motors at least.

Note: I run these with 20A HV Afros and THEY DO have sync issues. It caused me to crash once. I reflashed with BLHeli and it solved all problems. So go with Multistar brand if possible (choose BLHeli, not simonk!!! simonk WILL have sync issues with this motor, why, I don't know)

Also, I have tested with a home test rig and got a max of 2200g thrust!!!! I didn't take note, but I think I was running a 6S for those trials (was trying 4S and 6S).

high quality brushless DC motor.
4S battery @ 17x5.5 propeller; 1193 grams thrust, 173W , 11.3A
Very efficient motor. I suggest you guys should use it 5S with 15x5.5 propeller (Not 6S)
If you wanna use it with 6S you can aslo buy AFRO 20A esc which is very slim.

I bought 6 of these for my hex build - running with 20A AFRO Opto ESCs. They are great quality. Work fine with the ESCs, no sync issues. Run smooth, well balanced.

Note: With cables (they're very long, >50cm long in fact) it weighs 120g, not 98g.

Only problem was one spun at about 30pcnt slower than the others no matter what I did. ESC changes, FC port changes, same thing. Currently going through a warranty replacement with HK.

These work fine with 4S battery. Running 4 on a tarrot 650 with 4s battery and ztw opto 30a esc. Running 17x5.5" props no problem. One of mine has a bad bearing form only one flight though, which sucks. However, it was really easy to get a new one sent to me for free (without having to send mine back.) I guess you can't complain too much. As long as the others hold up fine, Id recommend the motors. You can use up to 18" props just fine with these motors and 4S/5S/6S all will work fine. If your looking for props - Get the Supreme props or the Supreme lite props from foxtechfpv they have 6mm center holes and work amazingly with these motors.

Great stuff! Mounted on a tarot 650 pro, with 17x5.5 CF propeller and 4s Lipo 5000 and 8000 mah (multistar). Hover at 16A for 2kg, low noise close to an "heli noise" on high angle turns.

Gut verarbeitet, sehr lange anschlussleitungen.

Optimal um bei Multicoptern lange Flugzeiten zu erreichen.
