More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

Spec.
Capacity: 2650mAh
Voltage: 4S1P / 4 Cell / 14.8V
Discharge: 35C Constant / 70C Burst
Weight: 291g (including wire, plug & case)
Dimensions: 145x45x22mm
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm bullet-connector

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

  • Capacity (mAh) 2650.00
  • Discharge(c) 35.00
  • Max Charge Rate(C) 8.00
  • Length-A(mm) 145.00
  • Height-B(mm) 45.00
  • Width-C(mm) 22.00

compact and reliable

Aug 04, 2017

I have been buying all of my batteries from Hobby King for two years now. They are turning over thousands of them every week so you will get the best of the best. I have a y total of 12 lipo's and 6 NiMh. Without exception all of their batteries have been under-rated. Meaning they perform even better than the spec.but never below. I have found the Turnigy Blue and NanoTech versions both hold their charge and balance well to within 0.01V/cell.
When buying a LiPo it is important to consider the current you require so that you can get a battery with the correct discharge capacity. If in doubt go with a higher 'c' rating. If you do this the battery will last longer and wont bloat as quickly, nor will it get too hot. A higher 'c' rating such as these particular 4s nanotech will normally cost a few dollars more but give much better durability and longevity.
In the early days of lipo some batteries were hard to balance but now days the builders match the cells so that they will balance at a lower current which means the pack will be equalised in less time and you can go flying sooner than you expected - that has to be a good thing!
I will upload a couple of pictures to the files tab above - take a look.
Cheers, Phil

I bought one to compare to the 40c turnigy, this one is smaller and lighter and came balanced unlike the turnigys , but doesnt seem to have quite the same power, I would stick to the 40cs when I buy some more

Works great for EF-1 race plane. I have run it in "Sport" mode for almost 8 minutes of flying and it still had 20pcnt capacity left....just a little warm. Cycled about a dozen times now, and it still holds well. I am going to compare to the 2250 mah 65C battery to check for power/weight gains. Obviously lower flight time, but I want to see if it can handle the output.
