More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

Spec.
Capacity: 4500mAh
Voltage: 4S1P / 4 Cell / 14.8V
Discharge: 25C Constant / 50C Burst
Weight: 467g (including wire, plug & case)
Dimensions: 173x49x29mm
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm bullet-connector

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

  • Capacity (mAh) 4500.00
  • Discharge(c) 25.00
  • Max Charge Rate(C) 5.00
  • Length-A(mm) 173.00
  • Height-B(mm) 49.00
  • Width-C(mm) 29.00

I bought 2 of these for use in my TBS discovery. I was concerned about the weight and length affecting CG, but it turns out the battery is 151cm long and only weighs 451g. They are top quality batteries and rival the TBS equivalent at less than half the price. I get 15 min flight time on these babies! About to order two more. Oh and the 25C gives me 112 amps, more than enough power.

bought 2 of these.

Never succeded to balance all the cells to 4,2v using my regular Imax B6ACplus.

some cells stay on 4,18 or 4,19v

I have purchased 7 of these in total. Heres what I think.

Good quality overall and good price, however these need to be looked after or the cells do show signs of puffing up. I have found that if you store them with anywhere near a charge in them they will puff up. Always discharge and store at around 20 to 30 percent capacity for good life expectancy.
I use the hobbyking balance charger and always balance charge, on top of that I have the lipo checker and discharger which will match cells so that they all sit at the same voltage.

Always charge on day of use, balance charge, equalise the cells after use and keep the charge level down and you should have very reliable cells that wil last.

Hope this helps.

This was a promising battery pack, but time is not it's friend. Through light use in a medium size tricopter and quadcopter drawing nowhere near its 112a constant current rating the pack began to puff. I thought that maybe I did something wrong, left it fully charged for an extended period of time or over charged it somehow (some of the budget chargers aren't so accurate) but beside me is another turnigy 5000 4s, non nanotech, that is older and likely had more cycles on it which is doing just fine. It's possible that I got a bad one but for the price the regular turnigy pack was much better value.

Just didn't hold up in my Quadrocopter. Only got about 20 flights out of them berfore 2 of 4 went bad, extreme voltage drop in the first minute of flight (16.4 to 14). I was flying a camera, so it was a slow and easy flying style too. Never charged over 1S and they were just not worth the extra money. Had much better luck with Zippy and they were less expensive.

great battery, 4s and 4500mah, great performance and the pack itself is really hefty and big but for the performance it's really quite good, doesn't disappoint at all
