These LED lights are extremely bright, they stand out really well in any light conditions. Included in the set are 4 red and 2 green lights plus a low voltage warning buzzer. The lights are pre-wired and plugged onto 60cm wires so they should suit a wide range of models.
The unit plugs into the balance lead of your on-board lipoly battery. When the battery is at its normal operating voltage the lights will either flash steadily or stay on, these modes are easily selectable with a push button on the unit. When the voltage of each cell drops below 3.5V the lights will flash quickly and the buzzer will sound, warning you to land as soon as possible.
A superb, neat unit that adds another dimension to your model but it is also a fantastic safety feature as well. It helps you orientate on your model in less than perfect light conditions and also warns you when your battery is getting low. The unit will work on any number of cells as the power lead plugs into the balance lead and just picks up on the first 2 cells.

My unit gets extremely hot during short use (less than 5 minutes). I checked the main board with a temp gun, and I'm seeing values OVER 70C. The actual LEDs get close to 65C themselves. There's no way I'll use this on my octocopter.Super bright and wires are Long enough for my big hexacopter. But the 2 modes are not switchable via your Transmitter, only via the button you see on the first Picture.
