Turnigy Thrust Stand v2 

Tired of installing different power systems into your model just to find the right one? Take the hassle out of testing power systems by using the Turnigy Thrust Stand. Optimize your motor/propeller combinations easily at home with the Turnigy Thrust Stand.

Fitted with the original features plus a power analyser to measure your Volts, Amps and Watts. A built in throttle regulator with JST style connectors saves the need to hook up your transmitter. The stand can handle a wide variety of motors and measure up to 5kg of thrust.

It has been designed to be ultra-rugged. All components including the heavy duty mounting base are made from CNC machined aluminium alloy. Holes in the base mean it can be secured to a table or work bench easily. High precision linear bearings and thrust sensor give accurate thrust readings down to the gram.

Included in the box are two different sized motor mount adapters to take anything up to a 56mm outrunner. A bright, back lit LCD screen displays the thrust and power systems measurements.

This is one of those tools that once you have it you wonder how you ever managed without it.

Battery voltage, drawn amps and watts are displayed; great.
The thrust is displayed through placed strain gauges on the vertical alu bar. The thrust readings seems to be too low in my case - however the measured thrust values can always be used relatively (if needed - well, one could make a translate tabel using a precision weight) . This is a very minor problem. As a power stand, this product performs 5 stars!

Thrust measuring is not working. It only shows the value "0". No answer from hobbyking since 3 weeks. Poor quality and poor customer service.

All in all its perfect i just received mine and tested it.
HK if you are planning a version 3 some day if have 3 points to mention:
1st combine thrust and power measuring in 1 system so it can display thrust/watt as well

2nd power the thrust measuring with the battery input like the power monitor
and remove the 5 volt input over the servo signal output (opto ecs), if done people dont need to connect 3 power sources to the system.

3rd may rearrange the plate for the motors to have the screws coming from the measuring plate. in this case no screws are unreachable below the motor.

I received mine yesterday and really like the design and build quality. I like Hobbyking and generally have few issues with there products or customer support. I do understand that was probably the first batch of these. I hooked mine up and the led for the throttle adjust would not come on, and it would not function. Before giving up and contacting HK, I took the cover back off and had a quick look around. It turned out that the little pcb for the servo lead was installed upside down. I removed the 2 outside screws and flipped it over. If you have the same problem, check and see if the polarity of the servo wire matches the artwork on the outside which is WRB front to back.
