Product Description

The Turnigy TrackStar TS series of ESCs are the latest generation of competition-level 1/8 scale car speed controllers. They are simple to use, have up to amazing 48° TURBO and BOOST timing settings, offer explosive power, smooth start-up and acceleration, and include a whole host of easy programming options. Using intelligent MCU logic and top-notch components, they set a new standard in quality, yet affordable car electronic speed controllers. The included BEC system has an ultra-stable super-switching mode regulator which is programmable from 6~7.4V and can deliver a constant current of 8A, and a peak of 12A.

These ESCs have 33 separate adjustable parameters which can be easily programmed using the optional smart program box (sold separately). These programming options are too many to list here, but a few of the main options are shown below, the rest can be seen in the attached manual under the "Manuals/Files" tab. Other features are multiple protection functions, low voltage, heat protection, etc, built-in super switch mode BEC, offline data recording, cooling fan, and more.

The 200A TrackStar TS200 ESC was just released and I was thrilled to be one of the first people to use it. I needed a ESC that could hand high amp loads and this unit did not disappoint. Everything about this ESC appears to be very well made. The capacitors are large, the fan is powerful, 10 gauge wires, a very nice metal case, a very nice power switch, and ton of adjustable parameters. The dimensions are relatively compact too for its high amp load rating.
I will update my review once I get the programming card but so far, I have been very happy with its performance. I have run 3s and 4s at high amp loads in my 100 mph RC speedrun truck and it performer perfectly even serving a horrific crash that destroyed my RC truck. The throttle response was butter smooth with no cogging even on a sensorless motor. Make sure you soldering skills are up to the task or have a friend or hobby store get this thing setup for you. Also, you need a powerful soldering iron (or 2 irons working together) to be able to effectively solder the wires onto this beast. I believe the manual called for a 60 watt unit.
