The Turnigy® V-Bar 600 (v3) is an extremely high quality precise controller and stabilizer for the swashplate and tail rotor of a model helicopter flight control system. It has super-stabilization and highly responsive-to-control input. This makes for incredible stability and agility. The programmability allows for performance settings from smooth scale to sport or hard 3D flying. Flybarless also means longer flight times and a tremendous reduction of parts and aerodynamic drag. You no longer need to use an external tail gyro, resulting in reduced weight and cost savings. The Turnigy® V-Bar 600 offers 4 switchable flight modes.
Bundled with the V-Bar system is a programming box. Making setup a painless experience.

Specification:
MEMS Gyro Sensors in three axes

Mine came with a the picth channel dead. The Hobby King returning product policy is kind of is not friendly, and in the country where Im now, will cost about the half of the product cost to send it back. And nothing guarantees me that after spending that sending back shipping cost, I will have a functional replacement. They can blame it on me. So next time I will be more carefull about buying only cheap items from HK, or if I buy something expensive, that it should be something that I can repair in case of a damaged product. Thanks Hobbyking for my lost $100.00...

Wow, it is $50 off from $139.99.

I guess its sale affected by the newer, cheaper Tarot ZYXs, CopterX, Helicox...

Takes a lot of work to get it working right but its well worth it. The servo leads need to be maybe 10-20mm longer for cleaner installs. And wish there was more support out there for this unit

It took me several times of setup and tuning I finally got it working on a HK-450-Pro. It runs fine. I used the "High-Quality FBL Flybarless Head for T-Rex and HK450 heli" as the FBL rotor-head.
Some problems you should know:
1) there is sometimes a start-up glitch, one servo will be driven to maximum and it won't move the swashplate correctly. If this happens disconnect battery and re-start. always check that it initialized properly before take-off otherwise you will crash bad.
2) I had problems with the unit acting unstable. it would wobble, or be hard to control. This was because I used too much foam-tape for the control box mount and mounted using the metal plate sandwich in between other foam tape. The control box was moving relative to the helicopter frame. I removed all the foam tape and used only one piece of rigid (firm) foam tape and the behavior is much better.

Now running two. 1 on a HK500 and 1 on a Trex600n
Tricky setting up but once you get to no the unit its simple.
Hard 3D is very good and very fast, hovering is not as good as Fly bared
But for the Price. IT CANT BE BEAT. ******

Mine worked for about a month, then the aileron gyro stopped responding, and caused a minor blade strike on my 500 gt, luckily no damage. This happened suddenly, no crashes, no hard landings, just no gyro compensation on aileron axis. Elevator and rudder gyros still respond normally. Tried everything but still the same. Sent back to HK but no word yet...

Tricky product, over all. I wish to mention some tune up aspects because the manual is full of folklore that have nothing to do with the reality:

1.Feel free to use the sub-trims to adjust the aile and elev correct geometry, and leave them in that position (never reset them to zero at the end).

2.Put the aile and elev mixing ratio at 100pcnt in your Tx and then use the CICL-LMT to adjust the correct value of cyclic pitch: increase then the Tx aile/elev stick resolution to maximum travel using the Dual Rate function in your Tx (I reduced the curve to ~ 50pcnt in order to expand the joystick travel to the maximum).

3.Perform the TX CALIBRATION in Primary setup mode for all SWPL TRIM CALIBR, SWPL LOW CALIBR and SWPL HIGH CALIBR. Doing only the SWPL TRIM CALIBR in Primary setup mode makes the life more complicate and what you get is zero. After performing all the TX CALIBRATION in Primary setup mode the unit commutes automatically in normal flying mode anyway.

4.AUTOTRIM seems to be common for all 4 flight modes, what you do in 1 is then reflected in the rest of 3. The difference between flying modes is done by the parameters you setup for each one, the auto learning" function is the same. The auto learning" function seems to be a myth too, on True mode you are allowed to teach the unit how to fly correct using the Tx trims! Once you commute on False again, th

Mounted in my HK450PRO. Using HK-MG929 for ciclyc and Turnigy D480 for tail.
I'm impressed with this system. Tail like a rock. Super stable and usefull.
I recomend to read how to setup at helifreaks because this is not difficult to do if you know how. My skill flying is sport fly and this system works perfect, and I've readen that works perfect for 3D too.
Thanks HK to sell afordable products with this quality.
